Alchemy problems

I don't know if this is a bug or just an annoying bit of programming, so I'll put it here.

Usually when you cast alchemy on a full cauldron you get one message like "the cauldron sparks" or "the cauldron shakes violently." Everything's nice and happy.

But from time to time, I get TWO messages like that with ONE casting, and then the cauldron is either A. empty, or B. contains slag -- even when the ingredients were perfect!

I just lost 14 phosphorus because it did it twice in a row when I was trying to make philosophical phosphorus!

If this is a bug, I'd like to get my phosphorus back (the stuff's expensive). If this is natural, would someone please change it? It hardly seems fair when we already have a chance of not identifying the finished product, and losing money that way....

it doesn't identify every time you know, and who knows. You might of accdently only added 13, and made slag.

if you take your product to someone who is nice and has the spell identify, then you can still make money off of it ^.^ ((I'll identify stuff for people, just hunt me up :P))

I know it doesn't identify every time. But I know I had the right number in there so it should have produced SOMETHING other than slag.

It happens when you dont have the right ingredents in the cauldron and RARELY it happens when you do.

I used alchemy ALOT (18k exp worth) and its happened to me ONCE when trying to make something with salt. (I knew the reciepie was right. Because i did it and it worked right after that)

So you never know :/

Oh yeah and I haven't identified maybe like 3 or 4 times...Thats the part that makes me mad...Whenver you make something and get a high number back like 6 or 8 then it doesn't identify :[

I know it's rare, but I think it should be removed.

I fail to identify maybe 1/10 of the time, maybe a little more. It helps if you drag the items out of the cauldron one at a time and identify them individually. Much higher yield, especially when you get high numbers back.

Yes you need to have the good ingredients and luck to succeed the spell, depending on your experience.

there should be more things that can tweak Luck, only thing I have seen so far is +1 luck from worshiping that elven archer god or whatever.

If everybody generally has the same luck then even having that variable doesnt make to much sense...are there even ANY rings/ammys/spells that tweak luck??
