What's wrong with different?
 

Why is it such a bad thing when people say, "It doesn't fit graals style".

Personally I think it would suck if every playerworld to ever come out was just another play on one style.

Try new things!

The game is certainly capable of these kind of big changes.

Why is it so terrible to try something new and unique?

I havn't really ever heard someone say that it "doesn't fit Graal Style" - About a PW, that is.

The only thing I think that applies to are levels on an alreayd made server, it's retarded when a dark ages style server is made, and a house in it contains "SPACE SHOOTER MINIGAME YAY"

Actually, with the exclusion of a few, the rest of the PWs all look the same. No new tilesets...just nothing. It's all repeatitive. Stefan has added so much to Graal for us...but I only seem to see less than a handful taking advantage of them.

The term I think you will find is what people say when there are NPC's with GFX that dont work well with the surrounding. For eg, Few people said this about gaia (But they didnt have the title set downlaoded) as Gaias GFX doesnt blend as well with the originalk tileset but it does with their own. So for eg you may make a water-fountain and ''It doesnt fit graals style'' as it may look stupid with normal tiles!

Yup, too many world looks just like the same.

originality is super...but ya always wanna atleast stay true to graal..ya want it to atleast have that graal feeling, know what I mean?

I believe if you can use the regular tileset and make it look damn good, you've won.

I've actually heard that about some of my suck gfx work (;x) but i know what he means, doesn't mean everything has to be the same but some people have told me "it doesn't fit graal's style"... wish i remembered exactly what it was :(

Nope. I don't know what you mean, sorry.

Im still waiting for somebody to make a top down view game. Or a platformer. Or something along those lines. with all new graphics. Hasn't happened yet but someday It may.
