Kingdom Uniforms, By rank!
 

I realized today, that we need more outfits for every kingdom.

Maybe about 4 or 5 different outfits that can be given to you by the king of your kigndom and only the king.

When the king assigns a rank to an individual he can give that person a special body of some sort. and give that same body to all others of that rank.

Im not suggesting you make a body for every rank. but make a few, so that the higher ups may look different than the lower downs ect ect.

I bring this up mainly because Higher ranks in the Bakugun are proably going to have to be bald, and frankly the only person that looks good bald is the shogun, it just does not fit any other body. heh. So it would be great if the higher ups could have a different set of clothes as well =P

I'm sure much more clothing will become available to us later to use.
We will probally have to make it though.

I don't think so, it would look stupid to have groups of people wearing the exact same thing.

Perhaps the guards could be asked to wear say a certain hat or robe while on duty, or the army has a certain uniform but nothing built into the game.

You mean it isn't like that already? Almost everyone has one of the five kingdom outfits. Unless they are staff or know staff.

There is logic, you gotta admit your idea is stupid. Once clothes are out it will be fine. But if everyone of a rank wears the same things it will be like now.

I mean what's the point? If the king wants certain people tolook a certain way he can ask/order there is no needfor a in game built system.

This isnt 2001 and there shouldnt be fifty million types of clothes either.

A certain rank of people should all be uniformed the same and thats just that. And the king should have the power to give that uniform.

Very few kingdom members role play civilians

your way leaves flaws for non kingdom members to dress as a certain rank in samurai, and for Dustari and Zormite to look exactly the same, and they shouldnt,
because they are DIFFERNT civilizations. And have very different cultures ect ect.

Why should all dustari farmers need to wear say the standard brown suit? Or merchants a white suit and a special hat? Why should all forest elves wear green and a robin hood hat for example?

Let's think about it:
Is your idea realistic? Not at all
Does it benefit the game in any way? Not unless you are blind and can't see the person rank besides the name.

It should be the kings decision, simple as that. If he wants a certain group of people to wear certain clothes that fine. We don't need to have a built in system in which all say counsellors look a certain way.

first off what the hell kind of rank is farmer?


Is bakugun the only militant kingdom?

Well anyway, "civilians" can wear whatever they want, like i said the higher ups and such need to have Uniform.

Sorry i wasnt thinking of the "farmers" for we do not have a military rank of farmer in bakugun...we do have workers but they are ..well workers, and again they are workers for our military, so they should all be uniformed the same..

hence the king is called shogun, commander of the military...

also i dont think the names shouldl be displayed like that with the tag and kingdom and such, i think that you should have to scroll over them with your mouse or click them to see their name in a menu on the side, this way spies can be spies and such, but when someone gets suspicious of them they can click on them or "check their ID" to see if they are spy of some sort..ect ect...

What kind of role playing is it to see some dudes name right under his feet, and know who he is, without ever speaking to him.

Actually I like that idea, but not uniforms.

:D yup it is, which is why they should do that..right about ..now and get it over with , heh

There is no much stuff to be done before the current stuff can be perfected. And I am afraid because of pressure the actual 2k2 will be released before they are done. Just of the top of my head:

-create house building
-add furniture for houses
-create horses and horse riding system
-add new kingdom features
-add new weapons, arrows, guanlets, and bracers (multi step as the actual items required to make them as well as the alchemy books and spells are needed to do this)
-create starting island quest
-add new quests and baddies
-create clothes and tailoring system
-create graphics for all the current spells and skills

And remember this is just what comes to mind right away.

BlKnight's right... but...... some enterprising 2k2 fan could probably do some gfx work, right? And post it on the forums or pm it to Stefan. We shouldn't make them do ALL the work, just 99% of it.

I don't believe there are going to be familys. I don't think we should be able to get that information that easily, its not very RPish. I mean, just walking up to someone and clicking on them and seeing all about them?

I think uniforms are a good idea in some ways. I'm almost certain (if we can afford it) there will be uniforms for the stading army and guards, but besides that, no.

/edit:/ The uniforms being mandatory only while on duty, of corse

But who would want to spend time working on 2k2 stuff? That is why I think people who submit needed material should get payed on paltinum. Not just anything (so people don't just make as manyt hinsg as possible in order to get rich) but like a list of things posted on the forums by staff of certain graphics or things and how much you recieve.
