The reason that killing monsters in the haunted houses is off the list is because the entire reason I need money is to buy lightning storm so I can stand a chance against them without burning the items they drop. (My only non-fire spell is Magic Missile, and that is very :\)

Kill those golk things in the dungeons.
They drop some funky thing that sells for 16 plat each with 10 charm. :)

I usually farm. It's easy, doesn't take too long, there's not as much button mashing as mining, and even with low charisma it still pays off pretty well.

Shouldn't use pick axe.
If you use kicking all you need to do is hold S and up.

Eh, I know, but mining still pays better even though it's tedious.

Really I should be asking which is better, battle potato killing or mining.

Oh well, is there any GOOD magic spell that lets me kill the monsters without freezing/burning their items.

(And I was watching some guys use lighting, and they completely roxored and didn't burn anything)

Lightning always burned my loot.... hmm... my best money comes from the use of the Create Bomb spell and woodsman.... killing monsters in house1 dungeon... battle potato killing is what I did before that tho....

I have enough money to buy that, but isn't it basicly the same thing as burning hands, only it freezes the items instead of burning them?

You could then thaw them, I suppose...

If I'm correct, its glitched that when a item freezes in the dungeon, once you pick up cube under it will be items.

Just thought of this.. I don't think it was mentioned. If you get an ice spell, magic missile can break the ice items get frozen in. I'm too lazy to see if anyone wrote this .. but if they didn't, hope I helped! :o

Oh, and .. just adding this now, I remembered something else! Magic missile is a lot stronger than you'd think. In fact, when you get to a higher magic level (I think, or maybe I was just lucky), it requires no mana at all. It's odd though, because you can't fire directly at the target .. example, there is a shell bomy, and you are directly below it .. you will need to go to the right a bit before firing, as the missile turns .. it's .. odd, but you get used to it. I remember, as a sorcerer, killing hievils and smokys and what not with magic missile. Okay, I'm done now! :|

also stacking icecubes will reveal frozen items, plus if you get steam bolt or create bomb theyusually won't destroy items if you pick them up right after the creature dies, then you get someone to identify hearts and livers, or do it yourself :P, and sell htem for a very profitable price... I can make like 500 plats within an hour or less this way :P... if lag doesn't kill me LOL
