X_x stefan can't help me so is there ANYONE OUT THERE WHO CAN?!?!
:sigh: after contacting stefan about my problem appearently I still don't know how to solve my lil problem. I recently got my new window's XP Professional computer and the game is running smoothly than my old window's 98 computer yet the problem is in XP my character in the game is like 2 to 3 steps slower than the average player's movement while in 98 the game is kinda glitchy (laggy) yet my speed wasn't that slow like in XP. I noticed that when I walk in 98 it looks like my character is moving faster than the one I use on XP. So is there anyone there that can help me correct this problem?!?!:(
Is it 2 different computers you have or did you install XP over 98?
2 complete different computers I'm currently using my XP cuz I gave my 98 to my sister >_<:grrr:
Well it may have nothing to do with what windows your running.
The 98 computers system specs might be better than the XP one. :\ |
What must I do WHAT MUST I DO O WISE ONE <_>
Post your system specs then we'll take it from there.
:sigh: i haven't fully figured out how to work my XP yet so how can I locate the system specs information?
Normally you should know them when buying your PC.
Which frequency uses your CPU (MHz)? How much RAM do you have (MB)? (press [strange-Win-key]+[Pause] to open the system config...atleast that's the key combination on Win95) And: how fast is your internet connection? |
right click on "my computer" and click on "propeties" then
then check the processor and the memory installed. XP needs 128 Ram Memory at least to run it good. XP needs a good computer, so if you dont have... continue with windows 98. Ah, you should check you video card too. |
There could be a few smaller things that can cause games to run slower (especially while not in fullscreen mode) such as running with 32-bit resolution or having CPU/memory consuming programs running in the background for example, but I'm not going to make a whole list now. So for now, try checking if you're using 32-bit resolution, and change it to 16-bit if you are. Rarely (and usually on slower computers), opening a web site that contains Flash with IE can speed up games (particularly Graal) -- I know this seems stupid, but it actually does work for some of my own.

my bad pplz I was away for awhile so didn't have the chance to reply lol anyway you're rite my resolution was on 32-bit and higher for my computer oh and err my computer has 1.90 GHz and 256 MB of RAM o and its a pentium 4 so its good
Whats really funny on xp, is that playing online is less laggy than playing offline (for me anyway) x.x
Damn XP damn them all!!!:grrr:
BTW is there anything I should look out for other than the 32-bit resolution thing that can cause my character to move slow??
Opening memory hungry progs would slow down graal, espescially since graal likes to take up 100% system resources...
So no trainers j00 :P |
