I always thought that if you used something that was copyrighted, like a page from a book. You would have to give them full credit for that text. So, if thats true. Why don't you guy make the people that are lazy and use other peoples things have the credit for the person that made it :O Instead of going nuts.
I realize names like Star Craft, PacMan, finalfintasty, etc... are names and they aren't allowed to be used, but... like, you know. :O

not all companies accept "disclamers" to fan games. ESPECIALLY not Nintendo in some cases.

And after all, Excalibur is such an original name to to begin with! How completely incomprehensible that someone might have came up with the name by themselves.

i was excalibur first, he just created mithica and got known under that name while i was gone =P
