Alchemy

Well, I reseted a week ago as a Warrior, and I recieved the Alchemy scroll. I thought it would be neat to make stuff, andd even a friend gave me a Cauldron. I soon began to wonder how to preform it, and I tried different ways... Nothing worked. According to Er1c, you need the following items for alchemy (If you arent Alchemist...), Wand, know magic, Spell of Alchemy, and cauldron.

Now, I have 2 of the 4 required.

Since when did Alchemy work only with Magic?
It was a gamble at making gold out of things (in most cases of ancient days) to become wealthy. I could imagine a wand needed to "stur" the items, but magic and another scroll containing a alchemy spell? I find that horrid.

I think it would be better without the magic and spell.

Wizardry amulet : 300 plat
Alchemy spell scroll/book : no idea

Alchemy skill scroll : 500 plat?

Whichever you wish to choose... however, the wizardry talisman is guaranteed, but the scroll learning isn't. So if the aclhemy SPELL is really cheap, it might be better to get talisman and spell. As if you buy an alchemy skill scroll, and fail it, you just waisted 500+ plat.
