1,)how do you get a gold server up
2,)is it possibal
3,)whats the difference between 2k1 and the classic servers:!
4,)i understand 2002 but not 1 not being a classical playerworld
5,)is a gold server all the levels compleate?

1) You don't. Seeing as servers like N-Pulse, Valikorlia, and UN will never get up there I don't see any server submitted by "the players" woudl be accepted for Gold.

2) People pay money to play these servers, and to even have a chance your server would have to be equal to the values of Graal 2k1/2k2. So I guess if you impressed Stefan enough that could POSSIBLY happen but I wouldn't count on it.

3) 2k1 was the first NPC-Server run server. Therefore it is a working progression of Graal since March of last year.

4) See #3.

5) If you wanted to get one up i'd suppose it being nearly 100% complete in levels would be nice. But then again you'd never get it up so:D.

very few people are going to renew their gold accounts after they're up...
right now mine's up (using a cookie for this) and i dont plan on having mine renewed...
a pw as gold would have, if popular enough, just a few waves of noobies, you'd have very few oldbies stick around, so i dont think it'd be in your best interest to have your own gold pw

Servers under the "Gold" section are run by graalonline itself.

Servers under the "Classic" section are also known as playerworlds, as they are run by the players themselves, not the graalonline staff.

1) You don't. Gold servers are servers that are supposed to be the "better" part of Graal. Servers with features that a normal playerworld can't have. Such as 2k2's all 3-2 terrain. Gold servers are also the only servers that get any attention from Stefan and Unixmad. 2002 moreso.

Actually I don't think there is a difference between gold and classic servers.

Gold is for servers that are impressive enough that people would want to pay for them. I would imagine if some super awesome playerworld came out, it would be gold, as I don't think Stefan would want some playerworld taking away all his gold paying customers.

If the playerworld was probably of a certain level of quality :p Would you pay to play on a server that has sub-standard graphics, poor NPCs, etc.?

Of course, Cyberjoyeurs determines what is quality and what is not as far as Graal servers go...or at least, I would assume they've made a group decision on something like that.

Most people here have the mindset of creating a "free" server that no one has to pay to play on. They seem to think that if no one ever comes to their server, Graal is doomed :rolleyes: Chances are, the material and content are not what players desire.

For the most part, the community lacks the necessary amount of people with exceptional skill in areas other than levels...we seem to have an over abundance of "LAT" some of which might be more word than action :p As for NPC people...I think some of them are unmotivated or show interest elsewhere...same thing for GFX people because all I seem to get quite often are people who think i want recolors or mock-ups of existing graphics and images :( Many wanting to help with NPCs seem to think I want clothes changers and staff tools :(

I think staff tools are 100% lame...especially for an RP server where I want staff to have very little interaction with players except for settling disputes or anything deemed illegal by GO's rules.

i think the same on allmost all of that i hate Rp servers with staff tools to only staff NPC's ill give is update level and boots and probely not even boots :/

Graal Gold servers are servers sponsored by Graal Online..Therefore the management are directly involved with the graal online game. Eg. 2k2 is closely monitored by Stefan and Unix....2k1 was closely monitored by Stefan, and he sometimes gets on there...If there is a huge problem he'll be there for an extended period of time as he has in the past...

Gold servers cannot be created out of the blue..

I am not sure if there are any other graal gold servers, only one that is debatable is 2230...haven't heard anything about that being gold or classic .....

As for Classic...it's the original, therefore it can't be gold because it's just not fair when it was stated to be "Free" they can't turn it into gold and make people pay every xx amount of months to play classic, the server most of graal grew up on...

So it's "Free" after upgrading your account once....Then it's for life...but as of now and for a while, there are 2 gold and other projects with direct stefan and unixmad involvement, appears to be haulted due to getting 2k2 running as smoothly as they want it to be

Just out of curiocity, why would you want a server in the gold tab?
It would mean competing with 2k1 and 2k2 which I doubt many of the playerworlds online now.
Maybe a few in the making but it's a very small minority.
Competing with those servers so you will have a much lower playercount than you would in the classic tab.
It's just dumb dumb dumb.
I really can't see a good side to any playerworld being in the gold tab.

I can... there are like thousands of accounts that can access classic servers. If you've ever went on a classic server, you will see there is an abundance of newbies/idiots/troublemakers. Now, there are some on gold, as the idiots have slowly migrated, but they are easily dealt with.

2k2 would be funner if they started banning the *****s. Sure the playercount might go down, but isn't it better to have good players then a ton of crappy ones?

It's called "quality over quantity". On my playerworld, I want people without "goku, ssj, gohan, cloud, poop,sexy,gf,bf" in their names. I also don't want people thinking they can come on and insult players to their hearts content, get away with anything, cheat, have cybersex, and god knows what else. I see it all the time on classic servers.

While yes, it's balanced to have pkers on servers, I want pkers that won't go up and kill someone that is idling, proceed to call them a noob, and then harass them for an hour saying they pwned them.

I'm sure there will be a few on gold servers, but like I said, one quick ban and they are gone. When you have to deal with tons of people, it becomes a problem.
