lol, Jinx was just playing, being himself. :p

It seems they've been dying a lot lately.

Androk2k1 08-29-2002 12:16 AM

I think that they should just put server wires under the floor! That'll stop the server wires accedents...

VampiricTutorNewHD 08-29-2002 12:40 AM

Or even better. They could fix GSurvur.

zell12 08-29-2002 01:04 AM

Unixmad is working on the servers that host them playerworlds me thinks.

Spark910 08-29-2002 01:07 AM

Possible Reasons:

1.)Spilt Coffee
2.)Just crashed or gone offline
3.)Got raided and the servers set on fire except that one online.
4.)Needede outlet for Gamecube
5.)Tried to run 5servers on one outlet and a fuse broke

Anything could have happened really!

MattMrHat 08-29-2002 01:13 AM

The same player worlds have been crash.. So a plan is to:

There is always certain player worlds that stay. Just switching them so that the popular ones do not crash, but the lesser ones like Atlantis, Faheria, Valikorlia etc.. crash but Classic, NPulse, etc stay up. Note I am not dissing Faheria, it is under construction so no need for it to be up at this time :(

voicedcow6666 08-29-2002 01:46 AM

=\ it's getting tiring of these server's always crashing. They need to find the cause of the problem, if they haven't already, and fix them already. :(

MalakSylv 08-29-2002 01:49 AM

Makes me sick that Val didn't crash, but Prov did.

King_Arthur_Elven 08-29-2002 02:02 AM

I think gsurver is more important to them than gamecube.

King_Arthur_Elven 08-29-2002 02:45 AM

The ISP Is fine just the server computer keeps crashing for some no know reason.
the connection to the internet is very fast there is no need for a NEW ISP or connection (Techcally same thing).

blah, yeah. I was thinking new server and a faster connection.

I heard the US server was running on like a 233 Mghz processor.....now come on, that's more then half of the servers on this one comp....and the connection, I don't remember what I heard it was, but pretty slow considering, again, that most of the server's are running off of this one computer. They need to rent a 1 Ghz processor with like 256MB's of ram with a 100MB connection.....

Aruchinjiru 08-29-2002 06:50 AM

Last time this happened I asked Stefan and he said server problems is the likely cause. I wish they would find the problem so this would stop happening, I have work I need to do and other things like giving work to the Devs. >.O

I have about 200 or so levels to upload that I just git finished with last night, and wanted to upload, I know how you feel

Androk2k1 08-29-2002 10:04 AM

I have to get on different servers and annoy owners with game which I call 'Teasing' >=)

Jinx 08-29-2002 10:24 AM

The servers keep crashing for some unknown reason?

BUY A NEW SERVER. What are they doing with all that money we are paying them?

-Jinx

jeff335 08-29-2002 10:27 AM

If I had a million bucks I'd buy a platinum license and let Cyberjoueur manage the computer, and run Providence and a test server for my personal crap on there.

But I don't even have fifty bucks.

Yes, I just went over the whole New SL overworld and checked things, made notes on what the Devs need to do and finished a village. 300 levels + another 50 inside levels that need to be uploaded >.O its VERY annoying to have to wait more then a day. I thought when I got up at 12pm today that the servers would be up like they usually are when I get up, but nope. >.O Satan has such a sick since of humor.

The Connections are fine as they are. I think the servers are on T3 and last time I checked Unix owned the largest ISP in France (thats what I was told anyway) so I don't think he needs a new ISP...;)

MattMrHat 08-29-2002 11:06 AM

They should making it a Counter-Strike deal where you can host your own server on a Deciated Server straight from your computer. Then there would be no playerworld review team, everoyne would have their own playerworld up. =P

Unixmad doesnt own a ISP...
Graal has datacenter in the US. Ran by a diffent company graal just stores there computers there (Im trying to mkae this more understandable) and we (graal) rent the lines (Connection). The connections are in fact very fast.Usa3 and Usa2 (Graal 2001 Graal 2002) go down it happens we just have to deal with it.it could be the servers falut the datacenters or even verio (who i belive are the ISP for usa2 and 3)
ok yeah w/e angel shut up now

Bye

I made the coffee gag up, nice to see it's still around :)

I think with all the money they are getting from us they need to rent a small office in an area where they can get a T3 connection and set up their own bloody computers... problem being that T3's are sometimes over $1000 a month in some areas :(

King_Arthur_Elven 08-29-2002 04:30 PM

T3's? wow your old school :P there now called DS 3 :D
