whaats with all the different color mushrooms?and when you try to drop like a white one and say / drop 1 mushroom sometimes it drops a different color one bc they all have the same name

Some mushrooms can be worth lots of money when identified. Up for 31 plat (rarest I've found so far).

Mushrooms can be identified with the woodsman skill for exp and identification... it attempts to identify all mushrooms that are in no containers, and the ones who arent identified remain unidentified i think.

It's pretty bad when the coder doesn't know how to identify them!!!!!

I don't think Stefan coded the mudlib.

When identified with woodsman, it simply tells you how much stamina the mushroom refills. If you read the names of the mushrooms they are still "mushroom". While there *are* different mushroom names, there are still blue and white mushrooms that are just named "mushroom".

So far, all I know of is:

mushroom - blue and white mushrooms
mushroom of poison - white mushroom only?
mushroom of gourmet - white mushroom, worth a ton, +300 stamina

The mudlib is based on an open source project, developing a completely new roleplaying system normally takes many years.

Any color mushroom can be poison. I've had an orange mushroom of poison.
I've noticed that blue is rare to come across, white is VERY common, orange is mediocre in it's rareness.

When I was a Barbarian some mushrooms I identified would be stuff like 'Mushroom of Cold Resistance', and other resistance things.

i did not know u could identify them i threw out 3 white mushrooms jsut on the ground because i couldent get pennies for them at the store

But the reverse is true with buyign them at the store.

and i had a piece of meat (food) from a shell bomy and you cant identify those.... i dont think.... and it was poisened and i died and went down to lvl 4 kthx bai.

LMAO. I haven't played 2k2 in a bit... I have PM'ed Stefan (please read for God's sake :'( ) because I want to have a chance to tryout for the 2k2 NPC Team, I have my doubts, but I think I have a good chance =P Jagen is on the 2k1 NPC Team, and he doesn't know NPC Server nearly @ all, he he :P And I think I can script MUCH better than he and many others... but oh well. Plus my p2p ran out, and I don't really want to rebuy it unless I am scripting for 2k1 or 2k2...
