While this is a very simple npc, it looks cool.
Post screen shots of your favorite drawings here!

Touch the blue orb
Fire the NPC - paint is on.
Click and crag mouse to draw with light!

Fire npc again to turn off and erase image.

I am inetested, if anyone wants to put this on their server,
if the images show for mutiple players. let me know ok?

have fun!

coooool

nice stuff! will have to take a look at that interpolation math later.

History of prozac's programming:
age 6: got a TI computer for christmas in 1982-1983, used the television as a monitor, around there i was six years old, taught myself line number basic, as that was all that was available to me at the time.

Middle school - intoduced to macintosh, Hypercard programming, very, very primitive and kinda like a clack and whith anythign close to a graal engine potential sitll only the late 80's, '91-'92.
each scene was on its own frame, slideshow style with some functions you could do.

High school - got a 286 computer with no hard drive, just 5" floppies. leanred gwbasic and qbasic, DOS batch files, made some fun text/ascii graphics games

College - '95 introduced to Pascal on a vax/vms system, taught self HTML/Javascript, learned windows 95 OS basics, couple years later learned C++, Perl (my full time job irl is webmaster and i user perl a lot), Winbatch, basics of linux.unix commands,
and for the past three years Graalscript is the most fun language and programming environement i have ever seen.

Time to show 'em how it's done, methinks.

(hold right mouse button and draw shapes. Ignore the rune stuff for now, it isn't finished)

I found 3 runes :O.

Thript 08-25-2002 01:15 PM

I'd say so, I had to get them the EXACT length for it to work and say "Rune 2" :\. Pulls a line down, a line to the left, and I forgot Rune 3's are kinda... blah, but it is a script in progeres so I'll just shut up :].

Thript 08-25-2002 01:33 PM

Rune 1 and 3 don't seem to matter at sive but for me, maybe It dosn't like me, Rune 2 dose :[.

I made something like this too, alooooooong time ago when I started scripting, I have to find it lol..
hmmmm...
I remember that I made a way to draw circles and you could change the size, squares, etc.. but I lost the full script because I just used the line to click in a npc so click in a other place and show the line as "Red Alert".

RavenTelvecho 08-30-2002 06:17 AM

R0bin:Not one of the scripts in this thread worked for me... Maybe i dont have the right images

Interpolation is just drawing the inbetweens.. Since Graal runs at a 20FPS framerate it cant detect the mouse moving so fast, so it instead detects the current and last point the mouse was detected at and basically draws a line to it. Simple right?

RavenTelvecho 08-30-2002 08:38 PM

R0bin: Ok i found out why it didnt work! O.o

For some reason my 64mb Geforce3 MX is blatantly refusing to run lighting effects

Dragona2002 08-30-2002 09:53 PM
