Graal Forums - BL: Thinking Out Loud

Corupt: It's hard to invoke emotion on the player through the kinda system were working with here yes you can have the player feel a little aww and wow in the beauty of graphics and cool things etc... but it's hard or almost impossible to get true feelings of sorrow through the graphics that you deal with facial expressions would help but they would be to bold there isnt enough detial in what you can do on graal to express true pain and sorrow love etc... maybe through enough explanation you could get the player to feel that but it's hard so I've been thinking maybe if I stick with graal I already have a face sprite message system which contains concept art of the characters and maybe I could make some face sprites that will express happiness sadness uncertianness etc etc but I just wanna say how amazing it would be to be able to build an online game with graals content and express true emotions what an impact it would have but lately I havent been thinking about graphics and such but rather emotion in the game MUSIC yes it helps with emotion with the tone but not want Im looking for.. I'll try and see what I can come up with but this would really be awesome if I could get you the player to actually feel some joy in a good situation of the game and sadness in a hartbreaking siotuation of the game and a little tension when it comes along anyways I was just thinking out loud laterz I'll find away to express this through Beyond Legend cuz I know players hunger for it and I strive to provide it
