Disconnection Penalties
 
I have somewhat cut down on playing Graal2002 because I keep experiencing losses from getting disconnected to the server and this is beyond my control. I lost my connection before I was able to use the /save command when holding alot of a friend's belongings and I felt so terrible when that happened. I had also been working hard trying to level up to lvl 5 for a few days in order to prepare myself for a tourney match. I was down in Far Away Island and I had just gotten my long awaited lvl 5 and was still training to get my Physique to lvl 5 also (needed like 300 extra exp), well anyways my connection died once again and when I returned I had DIED myself and lost a level AND 1 point of STR which I was already difficient in. Its really unfair, I dont understand why we have to use the "/save" command in order to save my inventory and whatnot, it is also completely cheap to be able to lose your internect connection and STILL die from a shell bomy even when your HP was at 53 when you got d/c'd...total BS I'm sorry.

It seems that the /save command causes more problems then its worth, Graal2002 is the only server this is nessisary on to save progress. I understand that it is moreso dependent upon the npcserver but I dont understand why a better system cant be thought up.

I hate being able to die even if I get disconnected, I absolutely hate it, it ruined hours of work and I could not avoid this. I understand why g2k2 staff might think its a good idea but I think it is also important to keep in mind why it could be a BAD idea. I dont really mind if you are forced to keep your character logged on after you d/c if your fighting another player, since its entirely your choice and theirs to turn off peaceful mode. This happening when fighting a monster really sucks though. The monster will just keep hacking away at you and causes too much damage undefended. I had FULL HP!! For what strategic reason would I disconnect while fighting a monster while I have FULL HP? Honestly, it makes no sense, I think the /save thing and the whole disconnect policy should be rethought.

Not everybody has cable, or a good computer for that matter, but you know if they pay for graal's service I wish that it would be taken into consideration that they may have considerable problems with g2k2's system (aka people with not such stable connections).

You dont have to say /save every time you get something now... there is an Auto-Save system every 5 mins.

But even so. If the server lags, it's stupid how you must die because of it.

I've lost to much stuff because of the way g2k2 works and I wish staff would consider changing it somehow...at least for when your fighting npcs.
