The Graal2002 alpha server and the Graal2002 server will both run at the same time as far as I know. So I am asking when will the real 2002 server come up.

A older version of Graal2002 as a new server thats just rather stupid, why not just have A single G2k2 sever?

Itll ease into it, itll go from Aplha to Beta most likely when more places and the kingdoms get added, then final when everything is open

No, I don't think it will "ease into it". That would be stupid. I think ALPHA is staying up because people will have spent 5 months building characters they may not want to get rid of. Also they could leave it to try new stuff or soemthing no clue.

Having two seperate servers is stupid. You're going to run into a conflict with not just numbers, but kingdoms too. If kingdoms are on both servers you're going to have people saying "omg I lead 2k2 alpha kingdome" and someone else leading the real 2002 kingdom.

What I think unixmad meant when he said we would have two servers is that the new stuff will come out on one of them first, and then (if it all works out and stuff) will be transfered to the real server... at least I hope that's how it works, because with two REAL servers there wouldn't be enough people on either of them =\

Bleh, I *do* think it's kind of lame that paying customers are playing 2k2 for months just to be reset. People need some reward or something if they are going to be reset.

I know it's alpha but people are paying to access this server, they are playing for weeks and then all the sudden, bam, nothing. The number one thing I hate about online games = BEING RESET.

Find some way to work around it, because I'm sure a lot of people will just give up if they had to restart. Plus you've been giving out prizes and stuff, will this transfer to the new server? What is the point in me getting this great war axe if I'm just going to get reset and lose it? :( :( :(

Konidias, would you rather Unixmad had made alpha just for a certain group of people and not the public? Most games are only public in very later Beta, like the last beta version (at least the online mode is still beta). I am sure that you would be one of the people who gets to play in Alpha, but your arguement was not about you but people in general. I am almost definite that people would rather get to play in the testing (even if they will be reset and what they do will have no effect in the long run) than having graal2k2 closed for alpha testing.

Also why should people get to keep things and stats they made using bugs and other things. And switiching between classes etc. why not have a fresh start?

So you would rather not play Graal 2002 in the Alpha testing? Since that's what it basicly is testing the game and the game engine. I'd think it's obvious that once a game is done testign and the actual game comes out it would be reset.
