Goodness you guys, lay off Kai.

He's just doing what he is supposed to, although he could do it in a better manner.

Don't be stupid and just come here and post a simple question that could be answered by reading either newfeatures2001.txt or newfeatures2002.txt.

If that doesn't work, then Unixmad release a hack for VB just a few days ago, of the latest awesomeness. To find the hack do the following:
1. Press Home key
2. Look at the buttons on the top right of the screen
3. Move your cursor over the "Search" one, then click once
4. Type in what you would like to find more about, such as Tokenize, since that seems to be popular lately
5. If matches were found, go through some of the threads to look for what you need
6. If no matches were found, check your spelling and make sure that it is an actual command you are looking for, apparently Stefan secretly added a new command that only a select few know about, called tokensize

THANKS UNIXMAD FOR THE GREAT HACK!!!!!!

Anyways, don't be a little newbie and then get mad at Kai for doing what he is supposed to.

Poogle 08-18-2002 08:37 PM

uh how do you get this hack to work?

Timpan3 08-18-2002 09:47 PM

You do what he just typed .. That must've been hard....

Jinx 08-18-2002 10:38 PM

I agree that people should search a little more before asking for help, but I still don't see why Kai felt the need to delete everything in Nyght's thread before closing it, Nyght posted a nice explanation of Tokenize.

What should I title a thread that teaches tokenize then?

I still don't understand your thought process.

He posted a fine explanation, why did you feel the need to go out of your way to delete it? I can understand closing it, I don't see the point in deleteing everything.

if someone just hands you something without you putting in any effort besides begging people to post something, then they will just come back for more

If you have a suggestion then I'd love to hear it.

It just seems to me that you've been getting sour at people lately.

Such as the first tokensize thread (yes I know I said tokensize), you were just mean at the person for posting it. I'm just saying it could've been handled a little better.

I also feel that the poster (don't remember who it was), should've been a little smarter than they were, I mean come on, check your spelling.

I just found out Unixmad just installed another hack...

It's called sarcasism!!! It's so easy to use!!!

Edited by Kaimetsu because the second quote was mistakenly attributed to me

Spectre1337 08-19-2002 11:52 PM

Just think, if every command was in the commands.rtf
and had simple explanations of how they work, there would
not be as many "How do i do this?!" threads... And Kai wouldnt
get as mad >=D

NEWFEATURES.TXT

LOOK AT THE TEXT ABOVE THIS SENTENCE

FOLLOW THE COMMAND ABOVE THIS SENTENCE

Please tell me you've understood this time :(

All the commands Stefan wants us to know about are explained well in the newfeaures... text files

maybe you or someone else could make a VB hack for the script forums, maybe a drop-down menu with a small explanation of each command, we start by putting in whats in the commands.rtf/newfeatures.txt and then allow users to submit examples (but must be reviewed by the scripting moderator in order to become public) but, it would probably promote lazyness
(:() but it might keep some of these threads from appearing...and sadly would probably be ignored just like the current sources (commands.rtf/newfeatures.txt) are now

I'll try to work on something like it but I need to learn more about hacking VB codes and such, the concept doesnt seem too hard, probably a bunch of SQL queries
