Be on the look out for two thieving thugs. The first punk will steal your Platinums right out from under your nose. His account is anU, he should be banned, he stole 200 from me. the next is Joker illusion. this thief will steal anything he can get his little paws on. these two crimnals should be kick out ASAP.

They don't steal anything... they scam. If someone is stupid enough to fall for a scam, then it's their own fault for losing money.

If someone is selling something like... a ring for example, and say it does +100 sustenance or some crap, and they are going to sell it for like 100 plat, then it's obviously too good to be true.

The easiest way to prevent buying something like this, is to tell them to drop the item far away from you. Then just right click it and you can see what it does. To prevent "I drop first, you drop second" scams, just tell the other person to drop the item across the level, and you drop yours, and then you both run to the other side and get the item. :)

True, on 2k2 there are no markets so people can't complain about being scammed. Just don't trust anyone if you have been scammed a lot.

scamming on 2k2 should not be bannable but when someone scamms you they should be hunted down, like you should be able to report it toa police force type thing and they should hunt them down and get teh goods back :]

Hehe.... like that foo' who thought I was gonna pay 10 plat for a scroll of Piety (I ain't no foo', I knew 'twas too good to be true) and when I right-clicked, it was a scroll of Use Tools. :D At least he found a use for the blasted things. He didn't get no plat though. :p
