Hello! I'm just some noobie level maker!
I want you oldbie 1337 level makers to rate this from 1-10, and give some suggestions to improve! :) |
Looks very good.
One thing that sticks out, and doesn't seem to match the level is the wood you used on the bridge, the door tile thing. I don't know if there is any other better tiles to replace it. :[ |
Very Good Job, the only thing I dont like is the red thing on top of the house
|
The stairs below the house don't fit, and the red thing on the roof (Which I assume is the chimney) doesn't fit as well. There are some chimney tiles in the tileset that you could use, provided my assumption was correct.
Also, mabye as something different, in the tileset, you can find windows for houses that are red (the curtains are closed). Mabye you should put one or two of those in there? Just a suggestion, but besides that, that level is completely superb. 9/10 :) Good job. [Edit] I noticed that between the first and second floors, in between the windows, is the bottom house tile. In the tileset, there are tiles that can be used to correct that. |

This level shows great potential, but it just doesn't do the trick as a level for me. The whole levels is completely tiled up, like slow down, have some plain areas here and there. I personally dislike desert tiles so close to grass, it's like walking out on a HOT day and seeing snow on the ground.\
I'm glad to see you can cliff tile correctly, besides a few spots which the cliffs were too close together and you couldn't add the shadowing. The river needs to lay off the grass to water bunches, as well as the shallow ripples. Try not to overdo the grass tiling. Overall you show the traits of a good level maker, you just have to know how to add the final touches which make it pleasant to the eye, not so cluttered. |

Anyway, thanks for the tips mmmmkay, very helpful! I seen the places in the mountains where I couldn't use shadowing properly, I didn't like it, but didn't think it was a big deal. I'll try to lay off the detailing a bit I suppose. Might be hard to break that bad habit though. :) |
