NPC scripting tutorials..
 

I am quite dissapointed that some of the tutorials (or atleast one) is not avalible and it has been like that for some time. I am referring to the "newbie scripters bible". It's a broken link and should be taken off the website and be replaced by some of the still active scripters, another hot suggestion :)

that bible was a.. well a bible to me when i was first scripting.. i think.. i cant remember

How nice that for once someone reply back, but im searching for people like maybe Kaimetsu or Torankusu or any other obviously talented NPC scripter that is willing to take on the challenge. For what is Graal2001,no, make that the whole GRAAL without future Kaimetsus and future Torankusus, haha nevermind that cheesy stuff i just typed.

any thing in specific you need? I have around 4-6 documents.

Methinks any document that explains things better than the normal Graal one would be good. It doesn't quite tell me all the information I need.

newfeatures2001 and 2002 are quite useful for those new commands.

I'd like an updated NPCserver document though.

I have one on flags, variables, and some other stuff also.

Well heres a suggestion, but it means working your ass off.

You could make like 3 tutorials in 3 different difficulties, such as begginer, advanced and expert, whilst beginner is simple NPC scripts and explaining different tools and what they are there for. and on your advance section you have stuff like variables and so on, and explaining the flags and their purposes, and on your expert, you have your really hard stuff, like trigger command and such.. Ofcourse i do not know if they are in the correct order but thats a suggestion.. Myself , well Im looking into levelmaking and I just want to get, well... creative, or so to speak, i wanna be skooled by the skool of hard knocks baby.

That's not a bad idea, but to be honest with you, I'm not too good of a scripter. Hence, the "newbie scripter" title and avatar.

I know flags and strings and some things like variables. But first, I hope the posts I linked you to hope.

I'm off to read my book. I've got about two days to read it (500+ pages) and do three "projects" on it. Two of them being written papers.

Well, if torankusu cant do it, maybe someone else with a lot of spare time and with will could? It would be like building a bridge for humans to get food over the valley, haha what a stupid example.

Bridging the gap between stupid and intelligent. :-P

If people could learn how to script better, then there would be less people in here asking for scripting help.

Ill work on your scripters site im pretty good at basics im going into npc server im ok at it lol.
