when i posted that i was looking for 3 maybe 4 new police i didnt expect to get near 30 applicants.each and everyone of them merit being given at chance at police, however we cant have 30 trial police, at least not all at one time.so, i still havent finalized the hires yet. im going to try to explain my thought process , first i was hoping for people in a different time zone than U.S.A. eastern standard time,
70% of the applicants were in this time zone.second,i feel that for graal 2001 to grow we need to involve more people in the game.one way to do this is to give them a chance at a job here.third,you that are either,staff,faq,or et, all have some responsibily here already.so for this hire and this hire ONLY i am not taking anyone that already has a job here.I REALIZE SOME OF YOU WILL BE VERY UPSET AND I UNDERSTAND THAT, just remember NONE of you, i repeat None of you are out of the running to be hired as police, it may just take a little bit longer.
these will be trial police positions and if these people dont measure up for whatever reason i will fill that spot with another of you that applied. this was not an easy decision,there are going to be 25 or 26 upset people here.so please, dont ruin your chances of getting hired by doing anything to eliminate yourself from contention.thanks for taking the time to apply. and yes i truly do understand, i had 3000 hrs here before i got a police job here.

who was hired :) I just sent an applaction for the fun of it, I can do what I want bacially with my staff tag :)

Meh I don't think that FAQ's and stuff should be excluded, hell they should be top of the pick, they're the ones who slave away answering questions nonstop and dealing with the really hard stuff while receiving no recompense whatsoever. Kudos to the FAQ team. <3

I new I should have applied for Police before FAQ or ET... Now my other two jobs limit me from getting another... Isn't the whole point of hiring people to hire from experience? You don't go hiring people with 10 minutes. >_<

You guys are 100% right, police should have to serve a certain term as FAQ BEFORE even having a CHANCE at Police cuz the FAQ's are the ones who take all the BS, the FAQ's are the ones who are there answering every newbie question, and the FAQ's are the one's who are not rewarded whatsoever for it.

only special power they have is jailing people, if you consider that a "reward" then you truly are power hungry since it's part of there job.

The police are rewarded with a higher ranking, and jailing is their privilige, I never was police on there, don't want to be either thus the power hungry comment is just pure foolishness, be SILENT.

When I was police, all that happened was that I was flamed and people tried to get me fired every day, if that is a privledge then Im one lucky fellow

I told you, FAQ also get rewarded, we get respect among the newbie population :D

I haven't gotten any respect, other than being FAQ Chief for a day. We don't get rewarded, not that I'm in it for the rewards. I do wish we got a warping NPC like Police, though, instead of using the Draisine for 5 minutes to get across the map...

Now I'm not going to be all "OMG I H8 U IDIOT BC U DIDNT HIAR ME" or anything, but this is very odd.

Umm...I'm pretty sure that -Temp- means Temporary.

Police also get warping I had forgotten about that o.O the FAQ's (who help with quests very often) need that ALOT more than the police type people who need to be smacked.

Since when did Police get warping =(

i ahve been trying to tell people that, but high staff think not :(
i like to walk people through a quest at least 1 or 2 times a day when they ask, it owuld help, and in teh Z-labs players and i get stuck alot :(, just because i am police does not mean i am not FAQ, when tehre are alot of FAQs on i am Police when there are a lot of Police on i am FAQ, so i try to help people to my extent

uh, I recall being on and in jail.. there were 15 people in the jail, at least. Either way, it was the reason you were fired and banned (i think?)

We need it more because we have to go on investigations, etc. Why do FAQs need warpto?

"Investigations" my arse. You could do those through PM's, FAQ's could use that to go assist people with quests, NOT something that can be done through PM's. Stop trying to justify your little toys.

Quests? Most FAQs just idle in the water and wait for questions. I do the stefan quest with every newbie I meet that needs it. fin

That's total crap, the walk on walls hacks wouldn't work on 2k1 anymore I don't believe. The FAQ's need it ALOT more than the Police, Torankusu should require that they help with quests but even though he doesn't MANY if not all of them choose to.

FAQ is to leniant in hirings to give FAQ warpto.

We don't need warpto, maybe an NPC warp-ring type thing to let us choose a quest to warp to. However, even that is pushing it.

I did NOT say warpto, I was talking about a ring type deal to ONLY warp them to the beginnings of each quest so that they could help there. They don't need more than that.

Not really ;/ "oh I've been warped to the beginning of a quest fear the abuse" plus it should be only with FAQ tag on and you could script it to keep a track of how many times a person warped and if they actually quested to discourage abusers ^_~

Wrong, I jailed the 2 Police that were on and 4 people from the list, also GraalWarrior who wanted to see the whole thing. You were not one of them. Your name starts with T the last guy I did was D.

People could use it for transportation.

Also, if what you say is true, and people can wait for Police to get to the scene of a crime, then people can wait for us to get to their quests.
