On other vbulletins, the nicknames could be changed by moderators.

Blah, I think there need to be some kind of program on the server that deletes inactive accounts after certain amount of time.

Yeah. Mr. B comes up and PK's Mr. N, so naturally, Mr. N reports Mr. B. (I'm making this up.) So, Mr. B changes his account name, and BAM! They can't do jack squat to Mr. B because he doesn't have his original account name.

I think if a person has a nick different from their account name, a good idea would be to set their title to their nick. That way people would know who they are.
