graal dont work HELP HELP!!!

Since a friend sort of hacked me, and was in my computer. He gave me a program that screwed it up. So I ask him how to delete it, and he tells me how to delete it. But my computer is stuck at 640 x 480 16 colors. But I can't change it back. So I downloaded new video card drivers, and that fixed it. But graal gives a Unsupported DX version error.

I gave a valid suggestion.
Depending on how big your hard drive(s) are, reformatting and reinstalling Windows and Graal could take under 2 hours. Reformatting would also get rid of a lot of odd bits and ends of long-ago installed programs.

Hiker 08-04-2002 10:53 AM

I think you should make your friend pay for a new computer if you can't fix it.

davidpsy 08-04-2002 10:57 AM

he wont pay for a new computer....

lol, sorry I didn't even realize you were IceHawk x.x; I'm too lazy to look at peoples signatures.

Reinstalling Windows is probly a good idea like IceHawk said.

voicedcow6666 08-04-2002 03:10 PM

What version of windows do you have? I know ME (and probally some other's, dunno though) has a built in program to change the settings and crap back to a previous state selected from the date. If ya can do that, that would be the best option....a hell of a lot better then reinstalling windows...

That would pretty much do the same thing as Norton Ghost, but I'm pretty sure ya don't have that...considering if ya did you would have already done that...

That's called System Restore, and XP has it too.

Neonight:

That's Set System Restore, and it's not on Windows ME.... Windows ME just allows you to install the original programs. XP allows you to save whenever your computer is running fine and restoring when you last saved.

David/Donald/whoever you are, as much as I dislike you (very much), I'm in a good mood. I'd say just reformat. While reinstalling Windows can remove crap within the Windows files, if you have a virus, it could possible be somewhere other than your Windows directory/ies.

I could've sworn it was similar.

I do not have much experience with horrible pieces of crap such as ME though.
