i posted this b/c unix is on forums and not on 2k2 to fix server :)

He's been on the fourms for hours.
I don't think he's here. :(

The servers been down since last night at 10 PM EST.
And unixmad has been on the forums since like 8 PM EST...:(

This is pissing me off. It's been down for nearly 14 hours now. Why the hell hasn't it been fixed?

It was up around 1:30 EST last night for a few hours I think

I bet you it's the shout command. Sure, you can blame it on this and that and how all these commands clog up the server but I'm thinking the answer is right in front of us. How come every time someone spams the shout or say command it crashes? Coincidence?

ummm, shout was removed yesterday morning....I think its the fact that the NPC server can't handle that message thing the the corner. Also, remove the say command and the thing that tell you who died, logged on/off, etc. Make it so it only shows what YOU do.

The command /say is still there. People can just spam using /say with the same effects of /shout

The message system should be fully disabled untill they can fix it so it won't crash the server.

why do we have to have the shout and say command in the first place?...arent toalls and mass messages enuf?...and plus i dont think they go through the npc server...

Until the NPC Server gets fixed (forever) G2k2 will not have many players...

2k2 gets lots of players when the server is up.

Not nearly enough.

Remember back last November to Christmas? There were ALWAYS 100 people online Graal 2001, when everything was at it's peak. Once the record was broken, almost 200 people were online. Not we're lucky to get 100 on any gold server.

I really hope that the final release of 2k2 will attaract those same numbers we had when 2k1 was around

I doubt that will happen.. 100.. maybe.. 200.. no way.
After the price increases and such, a lot of people are going to classic servers instead.
