yeah... and i dont think spam is going to catch people with over 7000 posts i mean i only have around 2.5K and im probably in the top 100!

There is also a vulnerability relating to the members list which can reveal peoples passwords and such... not nice.

Someone close this thread and give it a proper topic so it can be looked at in the future.

Even more than having the post count visible, needing 1000 posts for a title and 500 for an avatar? I never noticed the members list to do that. ;|

You'd be surprised, my friend. People will/did spam just os they could have a higher 'ranking' in the top posters.

I never even knew about the members list top posters untill someone posted a thread about it.

if the memberlist wuz disabled and prolly will never be turned on then why dont u just take it off the forum completely?...so people forget about it or something

How about you enable the memberlist, but disable the toplist?

The memberlist also easily reveals AIM names, e-mails, and ICQ, so it'd be easier to spam those communication systems.

That's silly..avatar and title encourage spam ALOT more.

It takes up more db space as well, I believe.

I think it's worthless to turn it back on. Is it really necessary? Think about it.

If you dont want your chat names revaled.. dont put them in your profile
