Uniforms for the military

Well, what combinations do you think would make good for each rank? We have a ton of choices in terms of different helmets, swords armor etc so post your ideas.

One idea I have is for a new guard rank. Each guard will have a nagnita and a pawn helmet (don't know what color yet) so they l;ook like a true guard. However, if they are needed for duties such as offensive strikes, they can always switch into a different uniform

ldhfd 07-27-2002 09:59 AM

g2k1 or g2k2?

AlexH 07-27-2002 10:01 AM

2k2.
Notice the reference to 2k2 NPCs.
Pawn helmet, nagnita.

it woudl be dumb to give free stuff out because people will want to join it and get the stuff anf leave and the other kigndoms will get jealous and call people corrupt and people will call people names and then they would complain here and make 100000 threads and said blah balh sux :megaeek:

AlexH 07-27-2002 10:05 AM

No one said anything about giving away free items.

ldhfd 07-27-2002 10:07 AM

oh and colors =
Guard = Bronze/Brown color
ummm Royal Guard = Yellow/gold
Warrior = Silver/Gray
Knight = Black
what else ransk are there?
and the commanders of like each rank shoudl wear same cloths but with a helmet with like a feather on it

Perhaps i will go kingdomless, just because i want to be a Naginata/Spear-wielding evil armor wearing badass.

AlexH 07-27-2002 10:47 AM

I will just be sensible and wear whatever the best equipment is that I can get.
I don't see why I would do otherwise.

Dark-Dragoon 07-27-2002 11:02 AM

Make a group of elite Dragoons in Dustari who use spears and strong armor and are badass. And i can be in it because i am the ebilest dragoon evar

Who said we wouldn't have some unfirorms like that? ;)

Personally, I think the nagnita is a really good defensive weapons, because it looks like a spear, but maybe if you marched down a hill slashing with your nagnita that might work too :D

I like the idea of uniforms.

brock128 07-30-2002 08:32 AM

I think you shouldn't give out uniforms for the first rank, so people won't join to get the stuff

People who first join Dustari will be put in the militia. The militia probably won't have a uniform, hell, if you want to, fight with a freaking pick axe.
The standing army, however, will need uniforms.

Are you handing out uniforms? Or do they need to make it themselves?

Firstly, I'm not in charge or anthing, this is an idea I was just suggesting.

Secondly, it depends. I was hoping people would make their own armor and such on through their own incentive but maybe later on when we get more members we could equip the standing army with what they need.

MysticHasteP2P_2 08-03-2002 01:12 PM

Personally I think all "recruits" should be put in as citizens (or all people with dustari clothes) and then citizens can tryout for military ranks (After they take an kingdom RP test)

Zurkiba 08-15-2002 03:05 AM

Spear/Pikemen should wear this, Bronze Plate Mail With Bronze Pawn Helmet

Swordsmen should wear Silver Chain Mail and Silver Pawn Helmet.

Archers should wear Bronze Chain Mail and Bronze Pawn Helmet.. or no helmet

Captains? Should Wear Gold Plate (If they have it?) and Gold Paladin Helmet.

Generals and such (Officers/Leaders) can have a custom uniform to match their own personal wants.
------------

For a Universal Uniform we should just wear Bronze Chain/Plate Mail or Silver or something O_o.
------------
Or we could organize our uniforms to be more like Bronze = Low Rank, Silver = Kind of high ranked unit, Gold = Officer, Custom = Leader.

The uniform idea may be bad to some... What if you start out, and you have gold chainmail, but then you have to downgrade to bronze? Or somthing?

Uniforms will be a stratagy effeincent(sp?) objection for the Dustari Kingdom... if you can get your army into wearing uniforms then you can command them. Otherwise they can be farmers. And I think we should reverse that Aftershock...

Standing Army shouldn't wear Armor/Weapons and stuff unless they want to... from there they can wear what ever they want. Durning Training they'll wear Uniforms... and on Military Campaigns they'll wear Uniforms... otherwise they should work on the Economy.
