It Crashed, Because of basically one person!
 

Well all was going well on the graal2002 front.
Kills and Deaths fluctuated as normal,
but the server seemed to have no problems.
But then some guy with the account Ganondorf comes and fills the whole screen with shouted messegas for thirty seconds straight, and within minutes the server crashes.
Finally almost no one was shouting,
and one *******..
grrrrrrrrr

No really, I was being serious. A NPC that gags people for spamming would be best. Then people would not see all these shout messages, instead the person would be gagged

The whole little text on screen idea is stupid, you should be able to turn it on and off...on a 28k, I must make my screen quite small, and all I can ever see it that damn annoying text. The /shout command is damn stupid, anyway.

Remember the old server message box they had before they changed 2k2? They should bring that back

Most of the commands for it should be removed.
Some are okay like the message that says stuff like

You have obtained *itemname.
You killed *name
You have reached level #

But when people log in/out is annoying and when people kill other people, we don't need to know.

And yes it should be put back into the little box like it was before.

Make it so it only shows when people from your buddy list connect/disconnect or die/kill :cool: I don't really care about what all those other people do, but it's helpful when I see that one of my friends come on..The shouting part should be completely removed, or atleast made so you can disable it.

Disabling it wouldn't work.
The NPC would still be there running so it would still crash the NPC Server. :(

They could also add a one message every 20 seconds thing. I just meant you should be able to disable it so all those messages don't get in your way @#%@#

If they do keep it they should limit the amount of messages you can send so it doesn't get flooded.
People just do it to be annoying and it is annoying.

Would be nice, seeing as 2002 was just redone...it would be nice if it wouldn't crash because of Shout.

I have an even better idea, make it so the shouts and dumb messages are in the F2 Window, then you could choose if you wanted to see it or not by pressing F2.
It should be like mIRC so if the op sees someone spamming, they can kick, or gag, them from talking in the F2 box

F2 window is where most things happen (such if you want to see your skills it shows up in that window, among other things).
Having shout in that window would crash the server even faster!

That's what I'm saying...that little ****head came on being immature, and because of one little ****ing immature *****, everyone pays.

Next time I see that bullshit happening, I'm taking screenies, and mailing them straight to Stefan and Unixmad. I suggest everyone else do it too...that gives extra evidence.

That's the reason I'm going to stay up extra late tonight, to take advantage of 2k2 when immature little ****heads aren't screwing around with the damn shouts.

It should keep a log of it with just the acc name and time of use then the people causing the server to crash could be caught and banned.
I'm sure Stefan and Unix don't appreciate people causing the server to crash.

Hence the reason I said take screenies and e-mail them to unixmad/Stefan?

I think Stefan and Unix get enough emails.
Log means anyone with RC can access it and ban them if necessary.
