A question about copyrightism.

Now, I understand GFX. And sound. But I don't see how Ganis and guilds can be copyrighted. That's like saying Universal makes a movie that has people shooting other people in it, and then Columbia Pictures comes and says that it is illegal because they made a movie with that first.
Also, it seems to me most games don't care if they have Turks(to name one) as a guild or not. The MSN Gaming Zone has tons of clans that are in their database that are copyrighted. Nobody bothers them. And nobody will bother you guys. They won't care.

copyright ganis?

Do you mean, ganis specifically made for another playerworld? And one just comes up and takes it without asking?

And, Guilds. Trademarks. They are not allowed.

(jedi, sith, turks, etc)

Trademark, copyright, whatever. All I know is that it did have some relation to a Final Fantasy (I was told by three or four people).

There were "Turks" in FF7, that doesn't mean they created it x_X
I think people from Turkey are Turks \=

I understand that, but it was based off of the FF7 turks.

Ask the leader(s).

You can't 'copyright' works, you trademark them, if you patent the title 'The Simpsons it can't be used as a company or business name and such. Blah blah, i don't know what this thread is actually trying to prove.

By the way, I sent that (Shayde.)

Yeah, but then it's no FFVII-ish anymore.
