Shadin' n' Detailin' How?
 

As stupid as it might seem, but I thought about doing a simple tileset. ANyhow, question I have is this:

How do I detail?
How do I give shading? (Say to a stone).

Never mind... after messing around with it I finally got it! Watch out for that new tile set soon!

LoL you make it sound like you just press a button and it adds detail and shading. :p

I knew how to do it , and I saw people do it, but could never do it the way I liked it...

Androk I had a site that would teach you some basic stuff I can't seem to find it, i'll search some more for you.

black dots is what 2002 uses

I usually make the color gradually darker... which is what I did for the animated archer.

But, uhm... there is a difference for skin colors. You don't only get gradually darker with the color, but you also add more gray value to it as well :)
