tell me whatcha think of it, its not done, so the flooring will be more interesting when im done and i will eliminate any potential for tile errors, its a tennis court...basically i wanna kno what you think of the 3d effect and the judge chair, and the rest i guess..

for 3d effect its not that good, nice try though
for judge chair, maybe use a different chair because it doesnt look very good but other then that the tennis court is nice ect. 5/10

It's Ok, nothing to rave about... I don't like the sides, going up on the sides. I'd use totally different tiles but whatever floats your boat.

well i might change the tiles yet but what dont u like about the sides? them going up is the whole point, its sposed to be arena like...i might change it to an outdoor spar still, so the center will be changing no matter what...

I don't like the tile, it looks dumb how it just juts in, like it seems like it should be like this:

Plus that one dumb pixel that keeps repeating itself on the tile, annoys me.

Oh and btw, that big chair in the middle.. that just looks terrible, what did you do to that, use those tiles better.

mmmmkay: Hmm, a tennis court doesn't even look like that. There is supposed to be a front rectangle, and the back rectangle is divided into two, for service boxes.

well no worries, its not a tennis court nemore its now an outdoor spar/pk area...its up on DD west of haven if you wanna see it in action...heres a pic, i can always go back and change it though, if you guys have anymore suggestions...thanks =D

Ya I know, that's what I was thinking, and I'm sure everyone else.. and this was discussed before... I think, someone said something like
"If your the levels admin then I'm scared to go on DD and look at the levels." or maybe it was about the people below him... bah, I forget..

i think what mmmkay meant was, im the levels admin i can do what i want...but maybe he didnt i dont know...but im not really sure what you mean...if you mean to dis my level making skills thats fine, i can take criticism...but tell me how i can improve, hey seeing some of your levels would be nice too...but dont just talk about how your "scared for DD" becuz you shouldnt be, DD is thriving greatly in all areas, including levels at the moment. My levels team is good, I only have 3 LAT's and 1 of them is a good bit better then me (saithe) and im still improving myself, i know im not the best level maker around, but i know im pretty good and im practicing and continuing to get better...The reason im the levels admin is becuz ive been lat for the longest, and i do alot of the admin **** and leave most of the intriquite levelmaking to my levels team. I do mostly stuff like fixing tile errors, fixing links, hiring and finding new lat's...stuff like that...But ive been pracitcing and getting better by alot and this was one of the things i was fooling around with, i liked it, ran it by the players and staff and they liked the idea and the level, so i put it up...But i know im still learning and still improving so please, instead of dissing, gimme ideas to improve. Tell me how my levels can be better, not how yours are better...thanks = D

Second off, in my opinion, I don't think that a LAT Admin should be one who still needs to learn a lot and such.

Whatever though, as long as people are enjoying your server. I see there is 23 on now, which is pretty good, so your doing something right... might not be levels but oh well :p.

there your doing exactly what i said is dumb..."it may not be the levels...but oh well" and everyone is still learning, every level maker everytime they make a new level is learning something. You find a new tile you like, you find a way to fit some more tiles together to make a cool new design, you always learning...i dont mean im "learning how to use the tileset" or **** like that...im learning new cool stuff like that. The level you see was me playing with ways to make my levels 3dish...its for fun and i thought it looked nice. And im not sure why the people on the forums dislike stuff like that so much, becuz the players love it, within seconds we had a pk battle with 10 people in the middle of it and people were pming me how cool it was while they sat in the stands watching their friends fight. Personally ive seen some massively ugly and shitty levels go up that people are liek 1337! ROX MY SOX! but when someone puts up an interesting one thats fun and cool but isnt 7 katrillion edge tiles piled on top of eachtoher that took the person 17 hours, it sucks! and i dont like it...its just not fair ya know...

I meant it like, they might like the levels, the people playing. So if your majority of people playing seem happy, then keep on doing it.

But me, as of now, don't care for them.

mmmmkay: I have shown lots of levels here, you can look for them. And we have said how to get better etc. Try not to take things into offence so much. Were just stating we don't think you should be DD's Level Admin because an admin should have all the needed characteristics as well as being a skilled level maker. So suck it up, don't always care about peoples opinions and keep trying hard. And maybe people think that levels according to you 'don't have a bagillion edge tiles' are tiled ugly, plainly etc. and ones with lots of tiles (not usually, they have become the norm..nice ones have new styles with creativity, and are pleasing to the eye) are made well. Don't base everything off your own opinion.

in my opinion it should just be called a spar area cause mostly all a pk area is a level with space in it, the chair in the middle i do agree it should be taken out. i like the chairs on the side but the 3d is kinda eh. ;/ cid you can do betta

well about the wanting to see some levels i was talking about waltz, ive seen many of your levels mmmkay and they are very good and i dont doubt your skill...and im not so offended as you think, i just thought to meant that people seem to judge levels by how amazingly complicated they are with edge tiles...i mean anyone, including me, can make a level like that if i have 6 hours to spend on it. But in my position im constantly fixing up levels and making new ones so i dont have that much time on my hands, so i rely on ideas and fun stuff rather then complicated and intriquite stuff. I think both styles should be given a chance.

oh, by the way saithe did u fix up the arena on the server? it looks much better...whoever did it made the chair alot better and stuff, and as far as i know noone else has the access and the skill to redo it like that. Thanks =D it looks alot better.
-edit- also the chair is sposed to be for spar tourneys for the judge so it may not look all that great but its kinda necessary for the idea of the level.

sorry zs0 didnt realize who you were...but that goes for all people that make fun of peoples levels without realizing what it is. Its not detailed becuz its not sposed to be, its a colisseum, i cant put edge tiles on it! ya kno what i mean...ugh, sorry not having a good day people...
-edit- also Dameion, our former levels admin and new developer whos workin on some projects fixed up the colisseum a bit, he made the cahir MUCH better and also fixed up some other things so it looks better, go on to DD to see.

see i know that you good, and ive seen your levels to back it up. It just annoys me when someone comes on, says something sucks, doesnt give any advice, and they themself suck...i dunno, its just annoying...but um...im kinda bored whatta ya want, ill make it and u make it then people can vote which is better, just for fun.

most of those levels are old. I have four incomplete and undetailed ones that I would show, but I deleted them off of my FTP when I let sparkplug upload something.

Create a level that has a lake at the bottom, a path coming in from the left, then going upwards and leading into a cave. The cave should be going inside a small cliff. At the top of the cliff, there should be a mix of red and green trees. To the far left, a pathway leading up to the top of the cliff. The pathway should be next to a river, which is falling down the cliffside and spilling into the lake

oh ya i saw that too, didnt really wanna tryout but im already like halfway done with this. BAH mmmmkay could u help me out with this, i was never a big grass edge on grass kinda guy so im just startin to experiment it and it just seems like there are connecting tiles not there...the grass on grass edge tiels are in the middle of the lava section...and theres no connection tiles that go with them! so its errorred becuz i cant find...i believe its 4 missing tiles! any help?

mmmmkay: Uhm they are plain in view...the only tiles that are not there are the tiles that connect to the diagonal ones, they have a little bit of darker pixels in a corner. Grass holes, water holes etc. use them...unless I understood you wrong, It's easy to find.

ya the diagonal connectors, i tried to use the ones from the water and dirt edges but they dont work...i dunno...ill try again

ok here it is, a fun little spar i whipped up quick on the river side with some classic clutter mixed with some new style clutter along the side...hope you like it.
-edit- reminder this was for fun, which is why it doesnt have like 300 pounds of clutter next to it, so if you might think its a bit underdetailed, sorry...
