Val was just hacked by a player with the account, sol316. After setting his local ban and disconnecting him his account still remained online not on the playerlist but walking around still causing havoc.

Too vague...give more detail...besides, I think 2:3 boxes just went down anyway :(

I was told with a new trainer that there is something in it that prevents them from being IP banned....locally and globally :mad:

That is not possable unless you can mask your ip, you need a router to do that, not alot of kidies have that

Nemesis is the one that told me about it, and I have already run across it with high tech....I IP banned him from the server, and he kept coming back with the same IP, thats when I told nemesis about it, and he said that the IP had been globally banned, and he still got back on, so as you see, it is possible

it's not that hard to go to a friends house and use a different computer with a different IP...

IP ban is useless, people can easily mask their IP, but it doesn't really matter, because most people have dinamix IP.

LOL OMG! Every Comcast Connection has a masked IP Address.

1. IPs of a LAN can be changed instantly, although I think the WAN IP must stay the same.

2. hte masked IP can be changed whenever.

3. I am networked :)

From having owned Sanstrata for months, being a target of many, many hackings, i have a solution for people who continually hack graal servers:

1. track them down to where they live

2. bring mr. shotgun

3. introduce mr. shotgun to mr. computer-used-by- mr. hacker

4. introduce mr. shotgun to mr. hacker

thats the only way i can think of to stop the hacking,
having tried dozens of other methods.
Ok, maybe before pulling the trigger on step 4,
give mr. hacker till the count of 3 to run away.

...or just delete the registry setting.

and how easy is it to remove anything from registry?
anyone could do it.. easily..
cant they disable the account

I have High Tech's home address and phone # and I will now track down Hell Raven and Cheeta , if these people continue to give Graal problems this info will be given to the proper people and taken care of and I found out HT lives only about 75 miles from me and I know for a fact his father has no knowedge of what he is doing. He doesn't want me to make a trip to his house and talk to his Father, but I will if he continues.

Please keep ideas to self, A registry ban would be easy to get out off if it was possible. Which I doubt it is.

I am 46 and what I waste my money on is my business not yours , it seems you don't care about the Game at all, which is fine for you with your 3year old mentality.
High Tech and I have been friends over the net for some time but he also knows my view of hacking this Game, He hacks I ban but has nothing to do if I am friends or not , you see even If I am friends with someone I will ban them for hacking anyway , one thing has nothing to do with the other , its like business , you don't mix Business with friendship and with Graal it is a Business with me , you forget I manage a PW and rarely play the Game anymore so to me it's not a game as it is to you...

i work on frolic and we use a ipban.txt in the levels folder, works like a charm. its just if his IP is masked it probobly wouldnt show in the players attributes (am i to late to post this?)

I see him on AIM we were friends but he was kinda corrupt. I would walk around with him and he would make all the NPC statues die and make them jump rope and stuff.
