Need... More... Gani... Attributes...

Stefan, I MUST have more gani attributes.. The limited amount there is now just won't do. :( There is no way I can make my playerworld characters with the limited number of attributes. I want to start work on my characters using weapons and shields and things, but I can't use the old "setshield" or "setsword" because they aren't like attributes.

I've already asked you in PM and you didn't really give me an answer that solved my problem, then you never responded to my other message. I'm sure this won't just help me, but it will help others now and in the future as well.

This probably goes in future improvements, but I need this as soon as possible and Stefan only reads that forum like once a day. :( I'll delete this thread entirely as soon as Stefan can provide a solution for me.

Uh, they are attributes? There is an attribute code for both shield and sword. However, I suck at this gani stuff so maybe I should just shut up.

9 is definitely not enough, as I have already run out. I'm not using the default bodies. I have the torso and legs seperate so there are 2 attributes, I have shoes, pants, shirt, coat, head, hair, belt. There are my 9. I still need more for accessories and weapons. I can't use parameters, I can't use shield or sword since those are for the old shield/sword templates. I can't use body since the body only has so many colors.

I think attributes just need to be unlimited. That way you can set the attributes to anything you want, 500, 20, 1, whatever. I don't see why there needs to be a limit, since there are 9 now, that you have to adjust by opening the gani in a text editor, you might as well just have more.

How did 2002 manage to do it?

body att = torso
head att = head
att 1 = legs
att 2 = shoes
att 3 = pants
att 4 = shirt
att 5 = coat
att 6 = hair
att 7 = belt
att 8 = weapon
att 9 = other

BTW the sword & shield atts can be used for any thing

The body only has a certain amount of useable colors. I have many different colors that aren't even the same RGB value used in my bodies. So the torso could not be used in the body attribute. That would pretty much leave open one attribute for weapons, a hat, facial accessory, and other body worn accessories such as a scabbard.

2k2 doesn't need as many attributes because the clothing is made on the body, on my playerworld all the clothing can be mixed around for more variation.

I don't think sword and shield can be used for everything. For one, if I add a sword to my gani in the format I'm using for my swords, it shows a bunch of cut up areas of the default Graal sword. A new sword using a new template cannot be used with the sword attribute, same with the shield. Rendering those attributes useless.
