List of improvements

Fix showimg so that you can use something like "playerx+0.5" without the image jumping around when the player is moving (if possible) also it would be nice if showimg's that have a decimal value would show up serverside for the other players.

Layering, well this would be extremely wonderful. If this and transparecy were added to Graal, I wouldn't even think twice about upgrading. Basically just having either predefined tiles, or tiles you can define, as a layer above the player. I don't care about any other layers, I just want one that goes over the player and of course, isn't blocking.

Transparency. So we can finally make shadows and better transparency effects instead of using alpha blending. :(

Serverside tile changing (that is permanently saved to the level) so if you dig a hole, it stays on the level (if scripted that way) the hole will actually be updated on the server into the level itself and saved so that everyone sees it.

Either do the above, or at least add more tiles that can be seen serverside when changed? For example, I only know of the dirt hole and the cut bush tiles that can be seen by everyone. It would be nice if there were more tiles if the serverside tiling couldn't be done.

1st paragraph:
this can be eliminated by showing the image before and after player movement is called.

2nd paragraph:
these will never happen :(

3rd paragraph:
I like this idea, but then update level wouldnt work, you'd have to reupload the level to fix it.

How is that possible? If you do a showimg at the player's position, you can't do it before and after the player movement.

I just want to be able to do:

showimg index,name,playerx+0.3,playery-0.8;

It's impossible to do at the moment, because the image is at "0.3" and "0.8" it jiggles around when the player moves, since it's not a solid integer. :(

About the tile updating on the level.. perhaps a backup can be stored when the level first gets the command to change a tile, so there is a backup of the older level there or something.

You can get solid pixel positions at increments of 0.125, but to make them synch up properly online, GANIscript 'em

I need it for showimg text. :(

The idea for online retiling has a few big problems:

While the benifits would be great, the risks would be far too great. If you can create NPC's to re-tile levels online, and save the level to the level file, then you open the posibility of anyone createing/using an npc that could retile every level with blackness and save the level files... hope you backed up your levels recently... because they are GONE.

NPC Server has made Graal more secure, but I don't think it's THAT secure yet. Maybe I'm just parinoid, but I see the potential of people seriously abusing this...

Well you could use an npc to keep track of tile changes in a level and then make sure they stay there even if you update the level and stuff.

Transperency works in the next version,
also you can use ganis as #Px attribute which
are then shown above the player (which then would
solve your showimg problem too)

Grim Squeaker:

Stefan still needs to add an aindexof function though. See leimoubai2002's thread for details. (My post in there to be exact)
