NAT Hiring on Chronic Dreams

Yeah. Currently, well, we need a whole staff. Yep, we have no-one. Currently, though, the NAT are the most pressing matter.

Here's the criteria for joining:

Required:
- A script to intercept a player's input through #c, and set the player's text to something else, changing specific words based on content.
- A weapon select screen, skipping "-" prefixed weapons.
- A script that uses the new keyboard or mouse functions to implement a movement system, no need for onwall checks.

Optional:
- An Editor NPC to path normal water onto shallow water.
- A script to make an NPC follow the player, avoiding walls, without using move or followplayer.

And, if you are thinking about trying out, but need to know something first, contact me here. The website isn't up yet, but refer to the following for plot: http://proj.z0.ca/cd/cd.html.

What? Chronic Dreams? isn't chronic like marijuana or something? Oh well

Read the other recent post by me, about this PW. It denies that, because I don't care to do it again.

Re: NAT Hiring on Chronic Dreams

sounds more like your going to use these scripts on your server
=( btw: Wherd you get the name Chronic Dreams? thats crazy

No, I already have scripted those myself, and they're already on the server. But I don't want to get into what I have and haven't done so far. Those are qualifiers, nothing else. Even if they were able to turn Graal onto an OS capable of running all programs, I still wouldn't use them unless:
1. The person had been hired as staff,
2. They allowed it's use, and
3. They stated it was the script's final release.
Other than that, none of the scripts listed would ever set foot on Chronic Dreams.

Actually, the name used to be something else, but... well, the server had quite a bad reputation by the time it was tested, so when it failed, we restarted it. The name actually just was a "random objector generator" result, a program I wrote to pair base nouns with another word that can be both a noun and an adjective, i.e.:

Base: Sword
Pairing: Silver

Get it? Good. Well, I had to restart the main scripting section of the game, for reasons of messy coding, so it'll have to be another while before there is any news on Chronic Dreams.
