Official Forum Account Upgrae Thread
 

Ok.. It seems that many people debate over upgrading their accounts again because they only want to post on the forums and not play Graal..

So why not keep the original upgrade price and take a third of the 39 dollars and make it 13 dollars to just post on the forums for a year.

You might infact earn more money doing it this way because people will upgrade the account for it. Other then no upgrading because they don't want to play Graal but just post.

I don't know about that idea... If I'm going to pay, I might as well pay to "play" also. I think it's kind of silly to pay 1/3rd of it just to post on the forums. I would rather just pay the 39 dollars and get the whole package. But I would rather not pay 39 dollars just to play 2 gold servers, one that isn't even ready to be officially played, and one that I have played for a year and I'm tired of.

Plus it brings up the issue of what happens if you want to play the game again eventually, would you have to pay for a full upgrade or what?

Why is it that everyone is like, "OMG, PRICE SHULD GO DWON BC THRE R ONLY TO GOLD SERBERZ NOW OMG". How many people actually PLAYED the other gold servers, obviously not many, because if you did you would be content to not even get full P2P.

If I were going to pay for access to any forum, it'd be to the SA ones. ;X

It would be okay i guess.... But these are the graal2001 forums for the upgraded members, if you didn't play the server you wouldn't have any idea what you or others are talking about :(

I'm not sure if they can do this, but why not make some of boards free? Like the main forum and a few others.

Keep certain ones so that you must be upgraded to post.

Having main forum free is dumb, the only ones that should be made free if this happens is playerworlds and possibly NGRT.

They should make it that only "(semi-)upgraded" accounts can be used on the forums, and not trial accounts, so like, if your P2P ran out, you can still post on the forums with that expired P2P.

Well, we have to pay $0.50 to say "Happy Birthday" to someone over the intercom at school. :( lol

Here's my idea for it:

Gold package comes with access to all forums, including forums that are for the gold servers. In addition to that, if you are a gold member you get to have an avatar and set your own title automatically (instead of basing it on however many messages you have posted). The other forums (maybe one for each playerworld, with a few subsections like we do now) are free to anyone who has paid at least ONCE (as in they have the lifetime for Classic servers), but they don't get the avatar and title perk initially. And maybe other restrictions for people who are not currently gold members, like you can't view the forums for gold servers or something.

Honestly, the forums are fun and the gold servers aren't as much fun anymore, so there's no way in hell I am going to pay just for the forums. I just paid for Graal so I would get lifetime for Classic servers, and I know a lot of other people did that just for that reason.

I paid mostly becouse I wanted to have my own forum account, :( I almost never play G2k1. And I can't wait G2k2 to be finished but it's not yet.
