Here's my song dedication to Graal. :)


What the heck?
It's time for a reality check,
You play this game so much,
that your life is a wreck.

Do you hear the sound that Gralat's make?
What's it going to take?
To stop you from playing Graal,
so that you'll give it a break.

Your teeth start to grind,
you can't get online,
so you moan and you whine,
just to craft, dig, and mine.

You have all the hats?
Do you want a pat on the back?
Well Congrats,
'cause I got all of mine from corrupt NATs.

Whoops there goes a cheater,
although he could be much 1337er,
if he played in front of traffic,
and stuck his head inside a heater.

Wow, a new quest is out,
let's all scream and shout,
so we can beat it in 3 minutes,
then get pissed off and pout.

There goes a staff member,
as he plays with npcs,
lets get our moneys worth,
watching him run on top of trees.

There's a new playerworld,
I think I'll give it a whirl,
I log on just to get banned,
by some guy dressed up like a girl.

Here comes some pkers,
bragging of skills that they lack,
oh no you stopped to read a pm,
then get stabbed in the back.

In the midst of roleplaying,
or in the middle of a theft,
You'll get a message asking,
"Want 2 b my gf?"

You'll spend hours tapping D,
crafting, fishing, baking,
just to blow it on some items,
that aren't even worth taking.

Come play Graal,
Where all the girls are guys,
Corruption, hate, and lies,
is what keeps this game alive.

I wrote it all in like 5 minutes or something... Oh, and it's pronounced "pee-kay-ers" in the song, and you say "gee ef" for "gf" instead of "girlfriend". Just so you know. ;)

Maybe I will write another one sometime. It's hard finding songs people made for Graal that aren't harassing a specific player, or using profanity, or something like that.

I agree with Konidias' song...

Graal is a great game in theory, but the totally wrong people are playing it. I mean, is there someone out there that acutally says "LIEK OMG, U R HAXORS" or something like that in real life???

A good example of a good game is EverQuest. Sure there a few bad eggs in the bunch that steal your spawn areas, or steal your loot from you, but its such a small amount that you don't even notice. And when you DO see someone like that, report it to a GM and they will stop in no time.

From the time I quit Graal and came back, the game hasn't improved much, and if anything, has gotten worse. I log on Graal Classic for a moment and there are people saying I suck while they are pausing. I mean.. DUH. The message boards isn't getting better either, I mean this guy who posted above, flaming a guy who just pointed out something but didn't criticize or anything. You bring a bad name to Vash the Stampede.

Well I'm going to end this post now, not worth it to get worked up about a silly game.

Exactly. Graal is a great game but it lacks discipline. People are out of control on Graal, and then when a staff member tells them to stop, the person takes it as an insult or something.

For example, some guy could run around on 2k1 calling people "fegs" and harassing players, and being an overall jackass, and the "police" don't do anything but fuel the fire, and if they even take action to stop it, the player has become so used to getting away with it, that they feel they shouldn't be jailed.

Like back during the "anna" time period, she would get out of control and be disruptive. I jailed her, and that just made her get even worse. The rules aren't enforced enough, and they aren't strict enough. This is supposed to be a family game, yet people get away with calling eachother vulgar names, telling eachother to die, etc.

I know... at school, I dare not play online, because if a teacher comes by and sees something vulgar on my screen, I will get banned from the school computers :(

And think about it... the game could possibly be saved if everyone would stop flaming eachother for no apparent reason. I have been told throughout my life that if someone is really pissing me off, just ignore them. It will keep you calm and cool, and get the other guy riled up and make them realize how stupid they are acting, most of the time.

As for staff... why would they even sign up to be a Police, or whatever, if they won't do their job the way it should be? I say, if there is a corrupt staff, they should be banned because they are breaking the contract they agreed to when they downloaded Graal. If not ban, at least a suspension to make them think twice before being bad again.

Yeah right... I see lots of sexual and racist comments on Graal, and the person doesn't get banned unless a (Police) is right there witnessing it. The (Police) would be much more effective if they acutally used these tools, lol.

Enforcement doesn't work in a small game like graal. While 500 is nothing to laugh at, we're baby bread compared to something like Everquest. Also, the GM's/guides in Everquest are PAYED to put people in jail, while in Graal we're doing community service.

These "tools" us Police have are not what GPs have.
We have no RC, no way to edit attributes, no way to warp somebody except to jail, and we cannot ban. All we can do is put you in different jails and warp to about 9 key areas of the game where we are most often needed (ex: stables, bomy temple, etc)

yes... buy why bother volunteer if you're not going to get the job done right? And thats what im saying... Police would be more effective if they were using these "tools".

Not having RC doesn't stop you from jailing people that you see using profanity and stuff in toalls. Police just don't want to do it because they are afraid they will lose popularity if they go around jailling the popular people for cursing.

Yes, I know it means "WARNING", but the same people do it every day and get away with it. Sure the police will say "stop using profanity or be jailed" but 5 minutes later that police might have logged off, or the person will be cursing the next day, and get warned again. I think the whole justice system for Graal is either too leniant (ie they let people get away with breaking rules) or they are too strict (ie they ban someone for cursing once) It seems to me that the rules and punishments need to be established again.

hehe i used to jail for swearing, unless they were tryign to get jailed(and ppl used to want to allll the time, not real smart). then i used the old rule of taking a full heart for 24 hours. it was a rule and man did it piss ppl off. =D ok now byebye

I say, if people ask to be jailed, they should be jailed for longer than they ask.

"put me in jail for like 10 minutes" so you put them in for an hour. I bet they won't try to be smart and ask to be jailed after that. :D
