Graal failure?
 

My Graal has suddenly started acting weird... starting it up gives me the normal Graal login window. I click Start. The server list loads okay. I click Graal2001, and I click Connect. I get the Graal window filled with blank grayness. Ctrl+Alt+Del is needed to make this go away; after I Ctrl+Alt+Del Graal once, it stops working for the rest of that Windows session, quitting with illegal operations in "module <unknown>". After Graal quits, another program (a system service, as this one didn't appear in the Close Program box) DDHelp.exe performs an illegal operation in "module <unknown>" again. I've just checked this out and DDHelp appears to be a component of DirectX. Rebooting will make Graal work again for all other servers except Graal2001... I've tried re-installing Graal's executable, but that doesn't work either... what's going on!? :megaeek:

gfx card problem?

That was my first thought, but if it's a graphics card thing, why would it a) work fine on all other servers and in offline mode and b) work ten minutes ago?

It works now! Admittedly I did had to run ScanDisk twice and reinstall the Graal exe, before turning off my computer and leaving it for ages, but it works now. How silly of me! Why did I never think of that? :rolleyes:

Kooky, same thing happened on the campus computers. Wouldn't even terminate. Infinite scan loop I guess.

same thing happend to me too!! ok hers what happens...i'm just playin 2k1 lalala doin my thing and then BAM! all of a sudden i can't move, the ppl in my guild don't show up under guild anymore and no one is responding to me. then i recconect and grayness....and then a little while later its fine....and then alittle while later it goes gray again when i recconect its like on/off for some of the day =(
