"Gaiden" upcoming server
 

I am co-owner(S.S.³ Link) of a server that me and my staff have been working on for a long time. It may not seem much for working so long, but over some time we have have a great fall due to dissapearence of staff members and the absense of the owner which leaves me blank on where he left off and he never gave me his part of the server before he left without telling. So i am left replacing his empty part. I worked really hard because we have no NATs and every single NPC on this server is made by me. I also realize new servers are using new tilesets and the such. I really dont support that much. If they were to change the game so much to make it not look like graal, they should go and make there own game. Sure servers like oasis look really good, I even think oasis will win over graal2k no problem. But you shouldn't take it to the extreme. Also people judge servers by light effects usage..... I dont like that at all..... me myself think light effects just lag up a server. Sure i use them when neccassary but dont use them just to light up the level...Walking through levels on graal2k and 40 jumping lights show up and lag me terribly... not everyone has cable modems. Well the real reason i am posting this is because I want people to judge my server. I have no GATs so please save that jugdement for last, i only have one busy friend who helps me with the GATs i need and he isn't even on the team. Also i'll give you a head warning for those who despise DBZ(dragonball Z), thats what the gameplay revolves around. But we are using a planets system that is much like kingdoms. Each planet has its on gameplay. On earth you have a job gameplay.
Some planets will be for PKing, others for just relaxing and farming without the worry of being pked. So this system helps every aspect of graal. Also like I said before, i dont want to make it seem like this is a totally different game from Graal so i kept some tilesets, add some new ones, and kept the basic atmosphere of Graal. So I know I have some copyright problems to work out but that will be no problem. The name of the server is Gaiden until we can fix our copyright problems and fix up a name that fits. Well I will post up some pics as soon as i can.
I would also like the help of NATs LATs and GATs.

I think this server has a lot of potential due to the fact that of the planets system and letting the player get into the atmosphere he wants to at the time he wants to. Thats one of my mining picture. Like you can see, it doesn't revolve around DBZ just takes its action packed gameplay and PL system with some attacks similar.

Listen, this is where i was tryign to get to. We are just using some aspects of DBZ, we will have many jobs, quests and other things that barely or have nothing to do with DBZ. With the new pay graal copyrights are really being inforeced and really lessons the chance of the server getting up so i really have to change a lot which will ahve this server barely relating to DBZ.

How do i attach?

would be interesting, you should make a custom fighting system... think of turn based fights so you can have impressive moves like in the tv shows (hey I saw some ok? I don't like the animation because they use 2 frames for talking and staying in place which makes them seem like they are VERY consipated, but anyways)... I would play :)

When you click to reply, look just below where you type your text. There's part that says "Attach File:" then click browse, find the screenshot on your comp, and then click reply, it will attach.

As you can see there is more then DBZ, we just like the action, moves, and powering up.

The level is decent enough, thats a cool system from the looks of it, drop the stupid DBZ theme and id really like exploring your server if it passes ^_^

Like i said in the starting post, I have no GATs, I hope i get some soon so i can be orignal and not be cheap and lazy and swipe other graphics people worked on.

Here is a picture of my race chooser..... Please dont comment on copyrights. I plan to change all that stuff, its just i used graphics for this and i have to change the graphics -- which i will soon do.

wow, the graphics suck an the places are unoriginal. sounds like a normal PW to me, also you shouldn't have put copyrighted crap in any level, to be able to have a PW you need to have creativness, and you must not if you have to use someone elses work.

Ok.... lemme try this agian..... I'm not going to use anyones graphics... im not a GAT. I'm using those graphics until i get a gat... i'm not going to put a server up with someone elses graphics.... And anyways if i did, many servers use other graphics.... you dont have to get so strict and talk crap like that.

what you should have done was try. you can find a lot of people who do graphics, it isnt hard, or could have use 2001 crap :-p

you need more creativness for your names and ideas, dont rip dbz. or go make a dbz game

Ok...... agian i say this..... i am changing names and all that copyrighted stuff, i'm trying.... people only want to get on a playerworld staff when it gets up, so they can make sure all the hard work really gets used and doesn't go down with a bad server.... Agian i only want comments on the work not the names.... just imagine them "not there." the levels and scripting is all im worried about for now.

Ok, i'm only co-owner, the owner had already started this server, now that he is gone, i decided to change like you said, and due to that i have to go back and change all the levels which is really hard, because i may miss some hidden name which can get me put down. I'm trying to get some help which would make this a whole lot easier, people only want to join a server that they dont have to work on to get it up, only one thats up. Now that the owner left, i plan to change it and drop the DBZ thing and just use the fighting style.

Good start :). Work on those levels and as godspeed said it would be intresting if you made a dbz figihting system for your pw :).

Scratch the DBZ plan and use the same concepts, but come up with something original. Good luck with your server.

How many times can i say this... I am scratching the DBZ theme....... That was the owners idea. I'm going to lead it in a new direction, i dont know why you keep bringing that up, i couldn't lie to everyone they would ask more questions about why does it have Ki and PL???? why?? why?? so i had to tell why so it would save me some trouble . And agian with the graphics...... I need to get some GATs. I posted stuff similar to this exact reply a good 4 times in my own thread but i guess people dont understand. Lemme breack it down:

You should just change "ki" and "power level" to "energy" and "strength level" and never brought up the dbz stuff. No one would have cared then.

Yea there ego shot pretty damn high and they think the server they are working on or work on is the best. There not being nice at all to those who are trying.

And then konidias complains when someone knocks his server...
