How to fix the forum's problem regarding png images
Upgrade to vBulletin 2.0.0 RC3 (the latest version of vbulletin)
We are currently using 2.0.0 Alpha Please unixmad upgrade to the latest version! I want to be able to view png images! It is a MIME related issue for sure, I have tried viewing these forums with both IE 5.5 and Mozilla 0.9, neither can view the .png attachments. How do I know it will help? Well, I don't know for sure that it will fix the problem but this was the advice I was given when I asked how to fix the problem at the official vbulletin forums. |
One of the admins at vBulletin had this to say to me when I confronted them with the problem many of us are having with .png images

But it always worked for me regardless.

PNG images are a browser feature, not a forum feature. The forum already supports attaching pngs, but it's the browser that displays them.
|
My browser displays them FINE. Just not on this forum.

That's the point. IE5 doesn't recognize PNGs as files it can display seperately on its own (like JPGs). Plugins like Quicktime 4 can change this.
|
Like most people have been saying.....i can view pngs anywhere else but here........unless the img codes are used instead....my previous sigs were png, btw.....
|
HAHAHAHA
