Stephane...with an accent over one of the e's, but I don't have it on my keyboard so whatever. "Unixmad tripped over the cord" is just a figure of speech for "The server went down and nobody knows why". Power outages, bad script loops, cache overflows, network burps - these things happen, but it's always temporary.

Alt+Ctrl+e!

Actually, that's interesting. My keyboard's made by Microsoft. Seems strange that they'd have different models for different regions, but I guess you've just gotta play the market. Your keyboards sux anyway.

control alt e may only work in word or something
but it's Stéphane. alt+0233 on the number pad gives that. But yes, "Stéphane spilt his coffee" or "Unixmad tripped on the cord" is largely a euphemism for a Graal outage. |
or...
you could skip the whole process of guessing combos with alt...and run character map....which tells you the majority (if not all) of the alt codes for a letter/symbol. Some letters have more than one combo, but char map just tells you one.
I find it useful when trying to type international spellings of words. |

Kaimetsu: Probably due to install of Windows, you probably selected region as UK and that would apply. Tyhm: Burps, ehehehehehe. AlexH: Rocks can be pretty damned entertaining... |
I just started pressing key combinations and a bunch of windows popped up. scary.
