I'm sure a lot of you have heard about this program. This program claims to be a ligit FTP program, although I have not run it myself so I can not be sure if there is an actual program within the "package". Yes, I use the word package because there is a trojan packaged within gclient2001.exe. Look at the attacked pic for proof. If you have already run this program on your computer than all your Graal passwords and EVERYTHING else on your computer can be taken or deleted by some lame s'kitty who thinks he/she's all that. If you have run this program, get a good virus scanner to remove the trojan.

Christ, I had a ***** moment and I opened a trojan. But I deleted it.

Thanks! I never got an email about it so I'm pretty safe.

I downloaded it at gclient.5u.com, someone told me it was the new RC version, so I said hmm, the site looks like there wouldn't be a virus, but I even ran it over a virus scanner and it didn't find anything...

It just didn't pick it up then.

Hackers are intelligent people. They KNOW what the public of a game wants (In this case, RC) so they will put up a program claiming to be the G2k1 RC client, and bam, they now have access to around 20 computers.

I don't know, I did it several times, I guess my virus scanner must suck, I deleted the program, I don't know if that's going to help...

Don't accept any RC programs that don't come from an Admin.

Not that they do you any good if you don't have an account.

I dunno, I thought it was pretty suspicious after I asked Stefan if this was affiliated with him, he said he's never heard of the site.

Sadly, around 40% of G2k1 got infected by downloading the fake virus onto their computer!

Script kiddies...I HATE script kiddies...it's probably just some lamer who attached a sub7 and is now calling himself a leet hax0r for using a script someone else made in one of the oldest and most stupidest tricks. This guy is not a hacker, he is not smart, he just knows how to read a README.txt on how to hax0r your friends.

Whatcha do is get this neat little program called ZoneAlarm...since you can't really delete the infected file and still go on okay, so what you must do is get a firewall or two and if your hooked up to a hardware router its even better (a seperate proxy) so basically these so called "smart" hackers will just be pinging a goddamn piece of hardware and not your computer. =)

hope we all learned something. always make sure files over 300KB are thoroughly looked over. They usually contain Sub7's and with the graal crowd you see this all too often =/.

I think you can disable a computer's fans in the registry. If you can, then you really CAN blow it up.

Little Billy comes home to play Graal and hears over mass messages that theres a new free RC program out there! Billy is so excited! Billy then downloads it and his virus detector says that a trojan has been inputed into his computer! Uh oh! This makes Billy sad. Billy then gets some of his superl33t hax0r friends to hack the hackers computer. Yay for billy! They hack his computer and turn off the fans. Later at the hackers house...
AHAHAHAH I GOTZ HAWKZ PAZZWORDZ! AHAHA! He then goes on Graal for 3 hours. "YESZ I LIEK OWN ALL U GRALINS!" His computer shortly blows up and a piece of debri hits him in the middle of his eyes and he dies.

i got the gclient virus thingy about a month ago, and then i was grounded from the comp, we already had the virus before
