It's not funny how many times i've ALMOST owned a server.

Andor, I was Admin, right behind Ne0, when Ne0 gets owner guess who would've been Co? Me.

Babylon, I was right behind IonFlux, when Zen and LH leave guess who misses another opportunity to be Co? Me.

Delteria, I was the only LAT, about to be LAT Chief. I leave Delteria and work on Babylon, Sp Agent becomes Head LAT. Delteria is taken down and put back up with SP Agent as Co Owner. Guess who isn't? Me.

It's sad:(

Why would you want to own a playerworld? It doesn't seem like it's all fun and games.

Cause i'd be able to have a place to get my ideas working. And actually have poeple to work with me who give a damn....

despite all the flaming, it has its good points, like gt said. i enjoy it alot, even if it is extremly hard work. but trust me, nothing can prepare you for owning a playerworld, its ALOT harder than people think

Yeah Owning a PW would be cool to think ur owning something that people choose to play :-D

In 2 of his cases, people didn't play the playerworld.

I think that ownership could be a very great thing and i think(dont mock me)
that it is better if you get a PW that is not very popular so u can set a goal to make it one of the servers that people play on:D

Being a owner can't be that difficult. I was "manager" of 2k1, which was pretty much owner.. of course I had Birdbird managing with me. We didn't get a lot done but then again, I didn't really own the server, so I didn't feel like it was my call to make.

Being LAT isn't good enough guys.. you have to understand that a simple LAT or even Head LAT can't make big decisions like changing the entire battle system, making changes to the economy, etc. Sure they can make shops, and the npc admin people can edit npcs, but out of all my time on 2k1 as staff, I wanted to make a new Q inventory menu, but when I was LAT I didn't feel I should be doing that even though I wanted to.

About Nyght almost owning all these servers.. it goes to show you most server owners (that have public servers online now) are complete idiots. They will give people ftp access that they barely know, and if you have minimal skill they will give you RC, etc. I'm sure anyone that can make a decent npc could get a job on most of the servers.. then work their way up to admin.

It's kind of depressing. :(

I agree being a LAT does not give me the creative influence I need especially when the owners on the 2 servers I work on are hardly on.

My engagements with Delteria, Andor, and Babylon were no fling type of things. I spent many long hours working on NPCs and levels for Delteria and had been playing it since Jan 2001. For Andor I was hire by Zorg when it was Bravo and slowly earned my way to my admin job. With Babylon I was the first and only LAT it had, besides LH, and I enjoyed it a lot.

If that ever happens again come see me and I'll help sort out the situation =D ^_^ the least I can do is get everything straight.

I've been NAT on Delt since January. I've made the Hat NPC for Delt, and I have two test levels full of NPCs. Yet I'm still a NAT. Even the NAT Admin has MUCH less stuff than me! But I dun care; I like being NAT.
