ip banned

Well I e-mailed Unixmad awhile ago... and he responded once.. just not my response to it..

when I changed ISP's... I was all of a sudden Ip banned from almost all servers.. it was fine(cept UN and Classic.. rest I didn't really care about).. anyway.... I really just play at those N-pulse and Delteria... anyway...

well now I am Ip banned from all Non-p2p servers(cause Delteria isn't on server list... )

These are the servers
Classic
UN
Enigma
Valikorlia
Mithica
Frolic
Babylon
Shaded Legends
Andor
Doomsday
Doragon Kingdom
Faheria
Providence
X
*edit* Delteria, N-pulse now too O.o..

I wasn't sure if my ip is blocked from like the server there cause that;'s alot of servers to be individually banned from.. O.o..

I think my questions really are....
1)Are each of these "worlds" grouped together on like different physical servers(like that list there on 1 server, G2k2 g2k1 on 1 physical server).. and the rest of the "worlds" on another physical server).

2)If yes, am I banned from the one with that list of worlds?

I really hope someone can help me

thank you

*edit*.. Make it I am now Ip banned from all non-Graal gold servers

Riiiiight.

From your description of the symptoms, I'd say somebody who either is now or once was on your ISP has hacked or defaced Graal so badly that an IP Ban was called for. For reasons best left unexplained (at this point in the post, anyway), you've ended up with either their banned IP prefix (for example, 209.11.*.* will ban all IPs starting with 209.11) or their actual IP.

There are two types of internet connection. Cable, DSL and Broadband connections all tend to be 'static'. With these you get one IP addy which the company will assign to you. You keep it, and unless you get them to edit it for you, or they edit it themselves, you're stuck with that number. Dial-up modems are almost all 'dynamic', meaning that whenever you dial on you get a new IP address.

One of two explanations fit here: either the person previously IP Banned has got your ISP to provide another IP for him to get back on Graal, and due to an unlucky coincidence, you've got his banned IP, or (as outlined somewhere on the Graal website) your entire ISP has been banned temporarily as there have been too many problems originating there.

In summary; it's probably not an individual ban from every server, and once the right people hear about it, it's pretty easy to get fixed.

One question I'd like to ask you, for the sake of narrowing down the possible causes of this. Are you on a dial-up modem, or do you have a permanent connection (cable, DSL, broadband)?

Okay then. The problem is that you've acquired a banned IP (either a prefix [what you call an 'ip tree'], or a specific IP) from your ISP. And the fact that you have cable will stop your IP switching around.

A GraalOnline high-level administrator should easily be able to sort out the problem. It should just be a simple matter of editing out a line from a file. Until that happens, I'm afraid, there's no immediate way for you to get back on your favorite servers.

If Graal admins can't do anything about it, you could always ask your ISP for another IP address... they aren't legally obligated to switch these, but explain your problem and I'd think they would probably help you out.

I just created the Providence ipbanned.txt yesterday; unless you are either Lycia or one of T3CK's many aliases, you oughtn't be ip banned from Providence (it'd be like one in ten million if you actually picked up one of those IPs). Obviously you were accidentally caught in someone else's global ip ban.
