In August 1931 the n a z i Party decided to have its own intelligence and security body. Heinrich Himmler therefore created the SD (Sicherheitsdienst). Richard Heydrich was appointed head of the organization and it was kept distinct from the uniformed SS (Schutzstaffel).

When Adolf H i t l e r became chancellor in 1933 the SD was given extra power to deal with all opposition to the n a z i government. On 30th June 1934, the SD played an important role in the Night of the Long Knives.

In 1936 Richard Heydrich became head of the SD and the Gestapo. On the outbreak of the Second World War both these organizations became part of the Reich Security Administration (RSHA). After Heydrich was assassinated in 1942 Heinrich Himmler became the leader of the SD. The following year he was replaced by Ernst Kaltenbrunner.

There was great competition between the SD and the German military intelligence organization, Abwehr. In June, 1944 Himmler took over Abwehr and after the July Plot the organization was absorbed into the SD.

At the Nuremberg War Trials the SD (Sicherheitsdienst) was declared a criminal organization and membership of it made its men liable to prosecution.

You really need to get a life if you're nit picking over 2 letters. Did you bother to ask what they stand for? There are about a million things SD could stand for.

I know the guild's meaning may be something alse.
But as I said before, what if someone will make a guild called KKK and make it another meaning?

Can you think of a name that would have 3 k's in it. Also people would normally avoid that simply because what most people associate it with. Most people dont associate SD with SS I could see being associated with ****sm. But I mean come on when I hear SD the first thing that comes to mind is South Dakota. Most people havnt even heard of the **** Group SD.

Minoc, does the guild have the intention of running around and killing helpless people? NO. The guilds SS and SD are most likely not what you think they are. If the guild runs around screaming things like "We're going to kill you because of your race!", then you can start making these complaints. But until then, do us all a favor and shut the hell up.

You dont know its related to the Na zis since you dont even know what the letters stand for. I find SD initials for South Dakota offensive from this day forth it will be reffered to as the State formerly known as SD or even better Southern Trails of Dakota STD :)

The Swastiga was used by native americans and other religions as a religious symobl before the Na zi's used it. Now all of the sudden if any one see's uses it they're automatically racist.

I want the guild (US) deleted because they've killed millions of families. Although my family was not killed by them. I find I must speak on there behalf since they are not here to do so. :rolleyes: US only terrorist organization to kill millions and still be though of as good guys.

1 ) im POLISH and im not offended by the guild name

2 ) if your so diligently looking for things like this, what about the guild blitzkreg (sp?) that was created, i find that one to be much worse. because that isnt just some letters. seems to me you all just decided that it woul be fun to take up a cause

3 ) i would not delete any of those guilds (ss and sd), king arthur did.

No. Thats you're meaning for it. So every time some one writes Pierre, SD (zipcode) They're referring to the Na zi's? You dont know what the letters stand for as in the guild. Maybe its a bunch of South Dakota Fanatics. :p
