Graalshop suggestion

When creating a new sprite definition,
you should have a dialog on the side with the image you selected,
and be able to rectangle-select the spot of the image you want to import, & make precise adjustments with the X Y W H editboxes :-)

Heres a screenshot I put together.. I got a little sloppy at the end because I got tired of drawing.. but you get the idea :D

(can't see this, but there is a "Preview" button on the normal add sprite dialog that is being covered by the one I drew, that makes this dialog on top pop up so you can select what area you want to add. This way you can go back & forth between the x/y/w/h & selection dialogs. :-)

you could also have a little preview spot in the regular add dialog that shows the area you have typed in the x/y/w/h boxes.. i'll post a screenshot of what i mean in a few minutes

ok.. this one is really sloppy because I got a little angry x.x

Meh, this would be useful. I'd love to see it in the next GraalShop release. Opening up my graphics program (IrfanView, in case you're interested), checking some x's and y's, closing it again, finding out that's the wrong co-ordinates, opening up the image again, getting the right ones, and finally doing the gani, gets slightly boring after a while. Being able to see, and better still select, what you want, without needing to open up a separate program, would be a great addition.

sounds awesome:D

if you had the preview window then you wouldn't need the selection window

also, it shouldn't automatically update the preview window, there should be a update preview button

I'm saying the preview window could be an alternative to the selection window.

Clicking an "update preview" button would get annoying.. I don't see why it would hurt to let it update each time you change a number in the boxes. It does the same thing when you're changing values on the options part of a gani =P

I really like that idea. I hope Stefan adds it to the next Graalshop update. Especially the drag a box round the picture area you want bit. That would make life so much quicker and easier to make ganis.

Sounds good, if this is added, a zoom in and out capability should also be added, for more precise selections.

What is graalshop anyway?
