...And for good reason. I threw together this level, sent it to G_Yoshi, and quite understandably, never heard from him again. I really haven't done any level editing since then, but I'm considering giving it another go.

Anyway, all I need is some basic feedback. What's wrong, what needs fixing, overall assessment, and all that jazz. I know the uppermost house is way too small, but I kind of ran out of room. Oh well.

houses look to plain and the path is to dull, those are the main things i see wrong with it

if you're going to go for the low amount of detail on the grass, clump the detail together instead of spreading it around, it looks better when its in clumps.

houses are to boring compaired to todays standards. The water the waves. There are two many two close together it looks to man made all about the same distance all less here and there would be best.

You should create more real vegetation. Your grass detail is just random tiles spread about.

damn no ones perfect, why the hell do some ppl have to be so harsh? you can openly comment on the lvl but dont take it a step lower.

Psyker 05-18-2002 10:50 AM

Constructive criticism.... Think, from now on the guy will be really anal about making levels... worked for me, hack butchered my castle I made and from then on I spent lots of time one 1 level making it as good as i could... thanks Hack ^_^ but yea, Id post some of my work but I am a little lazy :(

mmmmkay: Most of the tile errors you pointed out ARE NOT tile errors, before critcizing like that use your brain!

G_Yoshi's server is insanely good and cool in terms of scripting and GFX (which I was honored but regretfully turned down as a job due to not enough time to commit) but I feel he should accept as many LAT as he can get because those levels are an eyesore (understandably he hasn't gotten to that yet though).

If they are that weak minded to quit after criticism, then no way they would last as a staff member.
