Zalactic History - UPDATED
 

In the recent hype for the new (yet belated) Zalactic Labs coming out, more to the story behind it has been unveiled... Read on friends...

"In the beginning..." - Bomy-Bopots, also known as Bomies, are an advanced creature that came upon this planet, was dumped here un-willingly when they're small planet and sun came out of their original orbit and crashed into the planet we now exist on. Most of the bomies died off, and few survived. The Bomies mainly adapted to the harsh cold of their new home, now known as Mt. Antora due to the few number of Humans. The bomies that tried to live in forests and rivers, died off easily due to Humans thinking they were a daemon summoned by withes in the land.

Zalactic Labs - After 200 years of living in the cold, the bomies finally decided to wander out again, even though they had a very sheer number to tend. One such bomy, who I will not name at the time due to I wanting you to find it on your own, wandered off into the forest near Silverstin Sea. Near there, a young man, who will be known as Professor at the time, was taking field notes when something caught his eye. A few minutes afterward, Professor took the new specimen into their secret Lab deep within the side of Mount Antora.

The Secret - Now, while Professor was doing all this, his buddy, Prephesur was out doing some strange experiments. He wouldn't tell Professor about them, but soon after finding the bomy in a study room, Prephesur quickly confessed about what he was doing. He had stumbled upon a bomy walking around up north approximately one month before the discovery in the woods. Prephesur also told his colleague about what he was doing with the bomies. He had created a special device called the B.A.E.S (Bomy Appendage Enhancing System). This device would enable a bomy to enhance the abilities that it was born with. After more research, perhaps different kinds of Bomies could be created. Another amazing discovery that was made was that the Bomy-BoPots, as they were properly called, were able to eat bombs and anything similar, harnessing the power within it and storing it inside the Bomy's body, ready to use at another time. This energy was soon the source of power that ran the B.A.E.S. and helped refine the Bomies' skills. And now, the plot thickens...

The Visitor - After about 3 years of research and updating the B.A.E.S., a visitor decided to drop in and visit the two scientists hard at work. Knowing nothing of the bomies or what they did, the young man that stumbled upon the scientists was amazed and wanted to learn more. He soon became obsessed with breeding more and new bomies so that the variety would increase and soon after, the number of bomies in the country rose dramatically. After creating about 20 different species within 19 years, a fatal error was made.

The Error - The young man set back towards the main town of the country to bring the world the joy of the bomies, but as he did, he accidentally left one of the security cages of the fire type bomy on low security. Upon escaping, the other bomies became worried and frantic. Most of them easily picked their looks using enhanced telekinesis. Others were let free by ones already free. Only one bomy remained behind. It was the bomy that was first discovered. The very same night, as Prephesur was leaving, he noticed that something was very wrong. The first bomy specimen was alert and very excited. In surprise and shock Prephesur opened the door towards the outside world. The first found bomy then left the premises with the other escaped bomies, minus the fire type bomy now running throughout the vents towards the generator housing. Professor and Prephesur, unaware of what was going on, went deep into the heart of the labs, checking every security grid and system in the facility. Yet, within 10 minutes, Mount Antora was rocked with an amazing explosion deep within the mountain.

After Math - To this day, the bomies have never returned to the place that they escaped from. Some have forgotten all about their telekinesis and what was learned at the Labs. The youth that had visited the two missing scientists long ago now set out on a journey to teach all people of the Bomies and their ways. Bomies now live in harmony with most humans, both of them not knowing what happened or what will happen....

Rediscovery - After 5 years of the Zalactic Labs being dark, foreboding and completely devoid of human contact, a miner who was searching the highest area of Mount Antora stumbled upon a large opening in the ground, leading to a cave that served as a sort of memorial. Confused as to what it meant, the miner traveled back to the trading post and described the place. Determined to unlock a mystery, a group of miners set out for the cave. After a year of digging, the miners unearthed a ladder shaft leading to the depths of the planet. But upon journeying down the shaft, the discovery that something had severed the main route, forcing a path leading through the underground caves to the unknown. Rumors of a great power and weapon started circling the continent, inspiring young adventurers to set out and explore the caves. After a difficult journey, one explorer finally reached the end of the ladder shaft, stepping into a small room with examining tables and large eggs. Wandering around, the young man found that there was a sort of power source needed to explore the area fully. Within his reach however, was a device that was only a legend among the people living around the area: the Bomb. Sharing this news with other citizens and diplomats, explorers brave enough to dare, claimed a piece of the legend, taking it back and only wondering what else could lie in such a place.

Strange Workings – Not too long after the finding of the lost Labs, a strange object was sighted orbiting the planet. It was found circling with the other moon in the sky, seeming a bit smaller in size, as if belonging to the bomy planet that crashed so long ago. The only explanation of experts at the time was that it has been hiding in the shadow of the moon for so long and has suddenly been drawn out by some mysterious force. The news spread quickly of the moon and people stared up at the sky in awe, since the moon was visible during the day and the night. As it approached, people began to become suspicious and wondered what would happen. Within the following month, the moon was nearly upon them, targeted over the large city of Bomboria. Frantic, citizens started to leave the area, in hopes to start elsewhere. But hours before an impact, a man in strange clothing appeared with a large device that was set up supposedly remove the moon. Willing to try anything, the people let the man set up the large device. Donating money to keep the machine working, people could only watch in fear and with hope. Working swiftly, the man operated the machine, which turned out to be a giant cannon, with enough force to drive back the moon. Eventually, the moon was deflected and the city of Bomboria was safe.

Out of the Frying Pan… - Overjoyed by the success, the people were shocked when the moon touched down merely miles away from the city, creating a large crater that soon filled with water, creating a new path for the river, and also knocking out a small outpost. Stunned, the citizens brave enough journeyed to the crash site, staring intently at two small creatures standing upon an edge of a cliff overlooking the river. Confused, the people only drew closer and realized in horror that the visitors were not friendly, as one by one, people were shot down by blasts of fire. Fleeing with panic, the terrified people ran back to the safety of the city, trying to develop a plan on how to get rid of the invaders.

…And into the Fire – Grabbing hold of any weapon-like object they could, citizens rallied to overtake the moon and remove the aliens. It was not as easy as expected, however. Upon the first terrace of the moon, large plants hiding beneath the surface of the moon sprang up to devour unsuspecting attackers. Alien guards, who shot the large fire projectiles, greeted those who survived the adventure to the top. Straggling on, the people met a furnace that was the interior of the moon, along with more of the Aliens. A small group made it past the remaining guards, but only to meet with a greater evil: Dragons. Fighting long and hard, the adventurers eventually defeated the dragons by attacking their tail. Victory was won, but the moon and its inhabitants did not leave. The leader of the invaders agreed that they would not attack the cities and people of the land. The adventurers then returned home, hoping that the aliens on the moon would hold up to their promise. Fortunately, the aliens only attacked those who stepped foot on the moon. But then there was another mystery to solve: What had caused the crash?

The Search is on – The man who had set up the large cannon soon approached the citizens with the information that a generator lie somewhere on Mt. Antora that held the key to opening the mysteries of Zalactic Labs, as well as the reason for the crashed moon. Agreeing, a group of miners set out to search the mountain for the rumored generator. And so, the legend continues…

I read it all, very nice writing! good job, I always wondered how the Zalactics tied in with the middle ages...

And well, I kinda am the Bomy Admin still, but I have no tag nor powers (Loriel took my tag away for no reason, and the powers were gone due to some dispute a loooong time ago... I'll post a link later)

I wish I could go back to the good ol days where the Bomy Admin was respected...

While the bomy bomy moon was coming closer and closer to the planet, and the Bomy sun was scorching anyone and everyone on the surface, a crew of unknown beings were rumored to have tried to reach the moon in some sort of out-of-atmosphere vessel,
the results were unknown.

OHHHHHHHH MAN. YES. YES YES. ****ING HELL YES.

I love the Zal Labs. I know them back to front, and I can navigate down to the bottom in about 2.5 mins (pertaining to lag).

Heck, I even hosted the first official Zal Labs race! (Konidias won, I believe.)

Gonmon/Evilive, maybe you werent here to see the whole "Zalactic staff massacre".

Basically, they turned ZLabs into a big joke with stuff only staff can have.

First example: Zalactic Rifle.

It could reach really far, and kill in one hit or stun someone for about 20 seconds.

You can find a "Lazer Tag" building in 2k1 where you can use it.

So maybe, just maybe, they werent satisfied enough with the ZRifle. So what do they do? Go out and make a more powerful version!

This thing can fire the length of a whole level, and the blast is 20 tiles wide.

They made a downgraded version though, but the previous version was still released.

Then, they decide to get in on the act and make their own zalactic levels. Put this tileset in your webgifs folder.

They called this stuff "test stuff", but, obviously, not, because it was used time and time again over and over even when it did the exact same thing. You only needed 1 maybe 2 or 3 blasts on different people to see if it works, but massacring with it every few days?

OK, so they have their own levels, weapons, graphics, etc. all with the name "Zalactic" or "Zal" stamped on them to get everyone excited.

Explorer Alex Drakon is on it i'm been thur the zlab many time in the room where i discovered the bomb there was an computer i tapped in to it i found files of there wierd sorta mecchanized bomys so then i left that room and noticed a room to the right i tried the door i could not budge i broke in to the myster secret lazer tag lab and took 1 of the real working zal rifles
i shot it at the do it just made marks it annoyed me i stay there for days so finally i decided i need a crew of explorers and excovateras and demolition experts and we broke the door down the room ahhhhh help me it unixmade and stefan help ahhhh and birdbird ahhhh there gonna kill me ............l...

Ok, all that crap with the rifles and junk WAS NOT MY DOING AND HAD NOTHING TO DO WITH ZALACTIC LABS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

What was Lost is Found – After a long and almost fruitless search across the vast mountain, the rogue miners finally found the building leading to the building that was buried deep underneath the snow. Though it had been uninhabited for quite some time, the building was extremely dangerous, filled with dangerous radioactive material that was spread about the building. After carefully navigating the buildings interior with the use of Zalactic manufactured hazard suits, the miners finally reached another ladder shaft that led to the mysterious generator. The only question now was how to make it run.

Information Intercept – Forgetting the problems that could await them on the mountain, the miners quickly rushed from the newly found generator back to Bomboria city, where the man was waiting for their return. But trouble was afoot as they neared the base of Mt. Antora. As the miners passed the mining post, a strange force suddenly slammed the miners into the ground. Dazed and confused, the miners tried to find the source, but couldn’t. Before they could start again, a dark figure resembling a bomy appeared from the woods. Thinking this was help, the miners called the strange bomy over to them. As it approached, the miners then noticed that the bomy was not normal, as it was floating above the ground, wearing armor and electronic devices. Slowly, the miners crept toward the river in hopes of escaping. Before they could even reach the bank, the miners disappeared without a trace, transported or destroyed by the dark bomy. Laughing to himself of the newfound information of where to find the generator, the bomy set off towards the mountain

ok ok i'm back stefan and unixmaid stuffed me in this small box but it was comfortable some how and therre was alot of room in it but the outside wasd small so they left birdbird to guard me i brock his beak off and he start going into histerics and i knocked him out and stuffed him in the box and taped his beak on i founf the near communication center soo as i was saying i broke down the door and in side it was dark i seen something shiny and ahhhhhhhhhhh no not the box anything but the bow i'm clostrafobic nooooooo help guyssssss in the room there was aa
