That could easily be a problem with level connection on your clientside. Don't assume if something is wrong, that it is caused from lag.

Uh, why the hell not you idiot? What's wrong with assuming that a problem that looks like lag and could be lag, that it is lag? That's the whole freaking point of assumptions. Give me a break.

The point of assumptions is that they provide a framework for future extrapolation. I'd agree that this assumption is, as far as our evidence goes, unsubstantiated.

Take the word "assume"
Split it 3 ways. "Ass/u/me"

Now don't assume, because it makes an ass out of you and me.

Back to my point.
You told the guy not to assume his problem was lag. He had every right to assume his problem was lag.

Why? Because the levels weren't connecting right?
That could easily be a problem with the connections on the clientside, not serverside.

Amagius 05-12-2002 12:43 AM

It does look like something your client has a problem with. Do you have rev7?

You told him 'Just because you have a problem don't assume that it's lag'. Why can't he assume what he wants? Especially if it can be a lag problem. And it's not just this problem that he's having now, it's any problem you told him to not assume that it's a lag problem.

Googi 05-12-2002 12:49 AM

I don't think that's lag, I don't see how lag could cause that...

What I meant was not to think that if there is a problem, not to always assume that it is caused by lag. It's sort of like thinking if something is wrong with your sword, and it won't swing, don't immediately think "OMG! GRAAL IS SO LIEK MESSED UP! IT'S SO LAGGY THAT MY UBER-l337 SWORD DOESN'T LIEK WORK NOW!"

But..

draygin 05-13-2002 08:21 PM

I had that problem on classic when I first started way back the levels never lined up and stuff. At the time I just thought it was a messed up game. It automatically fixed itself after some time though. Might have been if I downloaded a new graal cant remember.
