Someone posted this on the Npulse Boards , his name is on it , as well as what I replied to him.... If you have an opinion , post it....

It is an extremist group and not 'socially accepted "And as the Graal Rules states, the rules are for the majority and will not please everyone , and they will not try to as we won't.Graal is not a place for "political statements" as a guild of that name would be, so it is your right of course to have that view , it just will not be allowed on the Game, for this game is not a political arena for soapbox opinions , if that is what you wish , then I suggest you take it elsewhere, this Game is not a democracy but a game run by Graal and its rules , you follow them or you don't play; its that simple...

I've played graal for quite a while now.
I've seen plenty of people use names like "demon" or "devil". Those are considered satanic, should those ppl have to change their names? No. Not a damn thing is said to them. As for "offending" people, if they are offended they can take a long walk off a short pier w/ weights on their backs.

Thats not offensive to me but some out there are offensive mostly on P/w's that dont have to sign up officialy as you can have what eva you want..

Not talking about the names like Demon or Devil and they are free to use them , but the use of a Guild name that refers to a "cult" will not be that is the difference...
Like KKK is not allowed for obvious reasons..

WRONG all PW's have to follow the Graal rules and their own rules that are added MUST follow along thoses same guildlines...

satanic doesn't have to be a "cult" it CAN BE a religion, although i am not one, Im catholic, I see it's for the game, and if you take offense to it on this game you need to get a breath of real life.

You can't disallow it because of your religious beleifs. If it is something politically extremist OR hateful- say like "CANADIAN KILELRS" or "TALIBAN" or something of that order it should be not allowed/blacklsited.

Things like these are a moot issue to decide. I honestly don't know where we should draw the line. This is the kind of stuff that have courts running mad all the time. If you live in the U.S., I'm sure you've heard about the "atheist" license plate again. It was a pro-religion state, so that probably got taken down. Same with baseball team names on license plates that were apparently offensive to Native Americans (the guy intentionally DUG through DMV records to find something to be offended about, yeesh).

Say I was personally offended when I saw something with "God" on someone's license plate. Am I going to win a case? No. It's just as offensive to an atheist as a religious person seeing "There is no God" somewhere, so why won't I win? I have no found the answer yet. And money, what if I say I don't want U.S. money to have any mention of God because I don't want freaking divine intervention in MY money? Won't win because people argue it's tradition. Bull to me, but that's their plead.

In any case, should just crack down on biggotry like racism in guild tags, as well as other obviously offensive names such as names of murderous gangs/organizations. I suppose the list will get bigger as people come up with more stuff. Time will tell.

Graal is no place to launch Religious Beliefs or try to make an issue of it on the Game , like I said before it is not the place for a poliical Statements of what one believes , you can believe what you want , just leave it off the Game , I would not allow "advertising of Devil worship " or converting someone to being a Jew or Chirstan on the Game , this is no place to make "political soapbox " controversey , just play the game and leave out the politics of your beliefs.

No, making a "KKK" guild is making a guild named after a racist group. Whether or not it was a cult means absolute zero.

Guilds named after cults is not illegal, guilds named after groups that did horrible things is.

What if there was a guild called Crusaders? Would that be bad because of how many they have slaughtered in the past in the name of religion? :megaeek:

There were many Crusaders not only the ones on the "Holy Wars" which as you pointed out was nothing more than an excuse to murder people who had a different belief from them, but all this ia a mute point and could go on forever , this is a Game with rules and you follow the rules as laid out by the Admins of the Game , no matter whether you agree or not; to play the Game you have to follow them.As I stated already , this is no place to make an issue or mute points of your beliefs, just play the game. Offensive or illegal Guild names will be up to the Admins to what is allowed or not , this is the way it is setup on the Game and what you agreed to when you signed up for an account , so to bicker with an Admin over a name for your Guild would get you nowhere and pointless. Just enjoy the Game as it is set up and don't try to nit pick it to death..

That's true, for a Christian, they may not seem that bad, but for a Muslim they may be as horrible as the Holocaust.

I am a Catholic but I do think every Religion has there own beliefs and after all alot of people that play the game are Americans and it is in the declaration of independance that there is a ammendmant called Freedom of Religion and Freedom of Speech.
