Floydian needs help!
 

Floydian needs FTP access for Graal Classic.
He will work for the players as Graal should be.

Let's all show our support for Floydian and help him get his FTP account!

There needs to be more people than just Thym having an FTP account!
This will not only help Thym out, but ensure that not everything is controled by him either!

If anyone else should have FTP access on Classic, it should be Lomgren. He's the LAT assistant administrator.

Tyhm only cares about himself? That's crazy. And I've never heard of this Floydian guy, but if Spi's on his side then I'm staying well away.

Floydian's a good tiler, he made updates to various Classic levels (like Ninji) and pretty much cooked up Floydia island all by himself.

He got really pissed off at me recently because I set his IP range on RC to an unobtainable IP so he can't log onto RC (since he wasn't suppose to have it, but apparently anyone with a staff account can log in, including FAQs, but FAQs' account ranges were "fixed" the same way by the accounts administrator before they were handed out). Besides that little hinder, he's alright. FTP access might be a little too much...should just get the REVIEWER fixed above all else.

He's always working these days. Making his own house, I think.

Oh, yeah, almost forgot. Gil-Galad (uberl33t scripter LAT) got a new baby recently (probably early last month). Congratulate the new father next time you see him. :D

You realize ftp is done through rc now, correct?

Therefore hw ouldn't actually be getting an ftp "account", more along the lines of ftp rights.

That's blasphemy if I ever heard it. Tyhm does so much for classic for NO PROFIT that it would make your head spin.

I don't see YOU managing a server filled almost to the brim with whining idiots begging for at least 2 quests at a time to be fixed. And on top of it all Tyhm offers ALOT of his services to the Game Coordinator team (you should see the list of tools we have).

Now let me clear one little thing up... do you even play classic? Because if not.. shut up. And don't start posting "OMG I STRTED IN LEET v1.28" because I don't care. And frankly nobody else does either. And it wouldn't pertain to the subject at hand anyways.

It's the only server I play at the moment, too.

I will admit that Thym has done a lot for the Classic server and all, but lately he doesn't want to even consider helping people out, and the excuse he's given me multiple times is "Why should I have more work to do?"
Well, he's an LAT and the only one with full FTP access, so it's his JOB to do things, not sit on the sever and get all snippy when people ask simple requests and/or questions.

anyways, the real issue here is that Floydian needs FTP access so he can actually do a lot more to help out the players on Classic.

I'm not against floydian getting FTP. though I think it should be someone that's a bit more active. I haven't seen floydian in quite awhile.

While we are at it, let's give FTP to every LAT.
No, Floydian does not need FTP, Tyhm is fully capable of putting his stuff up if Floydian makes it. He does not need an EASILY abusable power which should only go to one person when he can just give his stuff to Tyhm to put up. It isn't worth the extreme risk and it is just pointless, just because he "cares about the players" doesn't give him a right to have highly abusable power that he doesn't need. Tyhm cares about the players, but he aslo uses logic and knows what is best and not best for Classic.

Oh and the level submitter isn't Tyhm's fault, the webmaster or Unix are the only people who can fix that.

The reason I think at least one other person needs FTP access other than Thym is so when Thym takes his little vacations, people's levels can still be put up and stuff.

It's just a vacation; therefore meaning that he will be back.

He well deserves his vacation. Classic is surviving without him until he comes back.
