Should i quit eclipse for Pandora..
 

Yes this was posted on The Sk forums but feel you all should read this too weither you care or not..

Lately Warcaptain has been asking me as of late to join his playerworld Pandora. If i do this , it would mean me quiting my own playerworld project Eclipse and therefore leaving the server dead.

Pros of joining Pandora -

Its already online.
Warcaptain is very nice to me.
It would give me a chance to show off my level making skill

Cons -

The only staff i know there is Warcaptain
I would be ditching my playerworld which i worked so hard on.
I would let down alot of people.

so please tell me the oppinion on what i should do. Eclipse will have a new body and tileset along with a new battlesystem and various interactive npc characters.

I will post some things for the people to see .. The attachments are copyrighted by Damix And Eclipse2002 so you cannot steal.

And a small level i was working on , Ignore the tileerror in the water because its fix now but im a busy man and dont have time to retake the screen shot.

Wow your characters have improved alot unless im thinking of another pw.

What you should do is combine your ideas with Pandora. And try to take some of your best staff with you to help re-make Enigma to Pandora.

I really like your characters btw.

I'd go with this, try and combine your ideas with some of his. If you've been working on your own project for a long time, then it's shame to give it up so quickly for something else.

Actually, that isn't the reason Enigma is now turning into Pandora.

Originally Pandora was going to be a seperate playerworld, but a few different reasons changed that.

Warcaptain didn't want to manage two different servers, that'd be a pain. Plus, if the server was already up, progress would be much swifter, things could be tested online, and creations shared.

I know I am more motivated to make additional things for Pandora now.

The characters are awesome but the level is ugly. :)

the level will look better with the new tileset , some of the tiles uses are different objects in the new one. Id show the new one but theres a few bugs in it

Like Thak said, I doubt thats the reason why Warpcaptain did this. If anything its not cowardly but a smart move, managing one pw is hard enough image running 2. And its not like Pandora isnt off to a good start, it wouldnt be bad to join with them they've got alot of ppls interest with the 1-2 screenshots they've showed.

And if I right, i think Nishoku is lat on enigma? that could be the reason why he is also helping with Pandora. If not then I still dont see why Warpcaptain would lie about it, Nishoku is probably helping with Pandora some how.

I know what your head on that body reminds me of now, the dwarf in Buldars Gate: Dark Alliance. He's my favorite character thats probably why i like your body so much.

I try making little changes to make a new look but i couldnt take any other colours because of paint.

Im going to fool around with it some more and maybe make some new designs :) its fun.

dont start yet..... ill release templates to the public later where you can design your own armor sets , facial expressions , hair , and other stuff later , that above is 2 finished characters from using the templates. The bodys will be customizable almost completely except for you cannot remove the underwear on the male and the underwear and bra on the female.

as thak said, pandora was going to be another pw, but when enigma was forced to turn p2p, i just decided it would be easier to make enigma into pandora, instead of remakign enigma so it could compete with other servers.

im not using evildred, i have level makers that are very awesome:
thak, spanky, oladahn

evildred woudl just be adding to the talent already on pandora, (not being mean) Im hiring him because i trust him, and I know i can trust him, which is what most owners strive for, or should strive for. thats why ive been a pw owner longer than any other pw owner, and my server is stilll up after over a year.

i apologize about that nishoku thing, he DID work for me at the time I posted that, but then he got mad at me for an arguement I had with WildDude and quit, and then when we made up he was working with Mediva and didnt want to work on 2 servers, so stuck with Mediva. Im not going to lie about having staff I dont have, it was just staff changes...

Those bodies are not from a graal server....That much I know..the level looks nice, though.

I was just doing it for fun tho, when the templates come out i'll try making another one for my character :)

And if you join servers make sure you keep those bodies.

warcaptain is a "WOO MY IDEAS ONLY ALL THE WAY WOO" kind of guy.

maybe it seems that way because I know what I want to do in my head and dont really know how to explain it in words and would rather just do it myself so i dont have to sit there and try to explain it....

or maybe you are that kind of person and dont like that I sometimes want to do it my way and not yours?

Hell. When someone else's way is a lot better than yours, you still refuse to admit to it and do that one. Like, not banning people for stupid things like "God is your saviour" and things of the like. :]

i never banned for reasons like that, and maybe you think they are better, but when i DONT concent to do other peoples ways, its because the things im doing relate directly to other things, as most my things do.

I'm talking about situations in the past. Not this bullshit from la-la land that you're making up.

Ryan, you've been working on eclipse forever. It is basically your child. Warcaptain usually seems right, but if you cross him once your on the borderline of his temper and there is a 50/50 chance you will be fired a week later. I say stick to your playerworld, you've been working on it since I began graal and SK worked on, not owned, Elvenlands. So my vote is NO, stay with Eclipse, because in the end it shall be better than Pandora

shavo..... you know damn well why i blew up on you, cuz you always purposely tried to piss me off, so dont go saying i blow up all the time.

and pandora is going to be amazing, evildred knows that.

yes but seeing as how pandora wouldn't be completed for a while, and it would probably come out when eclipse would, so why should he quit his server of 3 years and work on your server of a year?

yes but when pandora comes out, it will be complete, tested, and working.

no guarantee eclipse will be working 100%

yes but see warcaptain, that is part of owning a server, working on the bugs, and there will be bugs on Pandora, even if you think there won't, because there are bugs in everything. Just stop trying to take one of graal's greatest playerworlds in the making away from the players for your own greedy needs.

Pandora's bug will be the owner.

People voting for yes = all of warcaptain's staff on pandora

People voting for no = all of evildred's friends and people long awaiting eclipse.


I belive that tells you that they only want you for your skills, and will do anything ot convince you to join them, and that you should give up your server (which looks better than pandora btw from the screens i've seen of the two) so that he can have what he wants. Don't give warcaptain what he wants, just stay with eclipse

My appologies for anyone who was upset to see these graphics in my hands. I did not know they were stolen and Damix will be fired. Now everything has to be redone but at least i knew before I tryed to send the playerworld in before It got a Automatic Failed.
