Sanstrata - Goodbye.
 

Sanstrata was hacked again today(So I hear). Panny channy has talked to the admin's of sanstrata. A message has been sent to Stefan. In this message, we requested Stefan NOT to put sanstrata back up. It will now be down for good.

We were hacked quite a bit, some were caused by our mistakes, some we had no control over. But it's just getting frustrating and tiring.

The staff has fallen apart, hardly any care to work anymore. Sanstrata has suffered a great deal over the past few months with hacking and corrupt staff. It's time to stop this, and give the talented staff(the few we have) a chance to work somewhere else.

We like to thank Stefan and the PW Admin's for letting us stay up as long as we did, but we have decided we don't want it to be a part of graal anymore.

Many will be happy about this news, some will be sad. I personally have lots of good memories and bad memories from sanstrata, but it seems the bad memories grow by the day.

So this is it. Goodbye Sanstrata.

We dont know. We don't care.

Now I remember though, this morning when I was on, Tweaker said he got a Trojan of some sort and was hacked and had to log off.

Dont know if that's related or not.

The Sanstrata staff seem to have a special gift for finding and installing trojans on their computers.

Oh dear, I wonder if they're going to succeed in sending a Trojan to Unixmad or Stefan, or if they realize that the Graal firewall blocks ping attempts.

Since Sanstrata is gone...
 

Sanstrata started almost two years ago with me and Sabin.
It was hacked, it came back, now its gone.
Therefore, I will continue with working on this Praxis (or perhaps a better named) playerworld project. It was going to be like a new rp sanstrata, not it shall be its own server eventually. I and many of the san staff have hundreds of hours of experience with making really good stuff, and form an eviironment where players would have a community. I have learned a lot, and hope that it will continue to a new and better server.

The only way they could affect all the pw's is to DoS the server until it crashed, which would cause it all to go down, but it would only be temporary.

Like everyone else has stated, there was no hacking involved.. I don't consider someone intruding on your comp because you ran a trojan, hacking.

This is yet another reason why my Oasis staff list consists of:
Konidias
Kaimetsu

Because I don't want security issues, and I have had some talented people wanting to work on Oasis, I just don't think they are intelligent enough to handle the job. :(

The trojan hat needs to have a curved red thing, not a straight one

Poor san I use to be Asst GP chief there a while back i will miss it very much so as it was my favorite server all my good memories were on that server and i will always remember the great people

Funny, I'm the only one on DK that has full File Manager access...as well as high GO staff such as Stefan or Unixmad :)

Plus I have at least a couple "backup" accounts that I can use to disable an "infected" account should I get a trojan :D

Thats the thing, you guys call it "Hacking". Some "Idiot" giving out the FTP password, or a RC accounts Password is not considered Hacking. Its considerd Stupidtiy.

Sanstrata has always been like that. I think that everyone who ever worked there other then the Owners that created it where only there to get RC.

Anyways, thats what I think. But thats good, another bad playerworld off the list, and more room for better ones.

Well, Its best this way i used to work for san but than it gets hacked every week so i resigned.

Well I'm sorry it had to come to that. My sympathy goes out to Jinx most of all, as he has been with Sanstrata since the first test server and was at many times the most serious and responsible member of the Sanstrata Team in my eyes.

I've seen for myself some of the rough times that server had went through. Jinx you will always have my respect.

and i have something to say about sanstrata
i was one of the first to ever play graal but for years my computer was scrued so i couldent play online untill i got a new computer
and i learned to script off line with no ones help at all
but the first day i came to graal online i came to a server called sanstrata i loved it it was like a dream come true and so since it is gawn i miss it is so the last 3 days of sanstrata was there i was staff and those were the best 3 days i ever hade and so i want sanstrata back

I was yelled at for firing the "hackers". and shut up tweak you know you screwed sans up because you didnt get your way. I remember........Last time when Kirby was owner tweak quit because they put up crimsons levels instead of his bravo levels he somehow got. anyways oh well Sanstrata is gone forever. no one really cares. Personally I liked it when i was lvls admin or owner. yea so the people i wouldnt hired whined and complained like lil babies but oh well. stuff was getting done. and I didnt give ftp rights to hmmm the whole staff. Oh yea Panny I told you, you wouldn't make a good owner..... Didnt even set the IP Ranges on the RC's. pure stupidity.........(well thats my fire to throw today)

I still think DV should not have be demoted to LAT Admin. He is a 1337 owner. And him getting demoted made sanstrata go to crap. This is GreatSaiyaMan by the way DV. :D

how stupid are you dv? panny was a better owner then you would have ever been i mean thats why pysker had to do somen about you. and the hacking, well it would have been worse if it wasnt for tweaker. Tweaker ip locked all of our accounts but forgot to lock his new account that he just had and thats how they hacked us. so before you go talkin stuff about anyone, know the whole story.

i am an observor i have read all your messages and it sounds like you want sanstrata back ask stefan to hire a new owner get it back come on it was a good server dont give up the bad memorys and the good memorys its life. tv shows and books end no matter what but life does not everend no matter what i aways said graal is fun because of the people and sanstrata is fun because it has the right people and so i hope you would do something and put it back up we are from sanstrata and we should let more be from sanstrata put it back up please. :p

work on it then ill become owner and ill hire new staff and i know gladatior wants to work on sanstrata i asked him if it came back up if he would like to be admin he said yes and i know kirby will work with me i can make gxf gladator can script and kirby can make levels so im gonna ask stefan about this and see ok :p

you never fired me, i had quit when u became owner, i also remember you offering me a admin spot that i refused. and david, you can try to get sans up but i dont think she wants it up, id rather have her make kirby owner if she feel that way

I rember the test server it was great i would walk around those same 20levels for ages upto 1hour a day for like everyday for a month! I was such a Fan and even payed 14,000g which took me ages to get to get a tour of the overworld that was to be opened in a few months! Also it was good the only reason i stopped was lack of updates and switching of staff and alot of restarts and resets of levels and everything so i stopped liking it! But i think you should make 'New Sanstrata' which kicks ass and is better than ever before!

i started project new sanstrata, i got sabin to start makin lvls, and i also wanted prozac to upload old sans demo server(first one)

alot of the admins there were corutped at times in my opinion.

Let's set this straight:

SANSTRATA IS NOT COMING BACK.

DV, Panny didn't get it shut down. She talked with the admins, we wanted it shut down. She did nothing to get it shut down. Things were getting done under Panny, and she didn't give FTP rights to the whole staff.

I don't get why we didn't just stay with the origanal levels, we had fun on them. All the owners after sabin tried to make sanstrata into something it wasn't. None of the owners of san were perfect, in fact many of them were horrible(including me.)

Do we have to argue about who was the better owner? Or who fired who or who quit? Sanstrata is down. That all is over.

If someone wants to try to work to make a New version of sanstrata, good luck to you(good luck especially in getting it past psyker,), but make sure you do a better job than sanstrata used to be.
